Update

This is the best book ever

You have a great game I love playing it and I spend hours playing with my friends. But if you wouldn't mind update the game. I know you probably won't even answer but if you could add free drive like in your console games it would make the game just that much better

OK, but play the PC version...which has a Crown Vic.

Need for Speed is one of the greatest car racing franchises ever, and the full version of Hot Pursuit was (in my opinion) the best of the series. Thus, I was happy to come across an iPad version on the App Store. However, the game has proven to be decent, but very underwhelming. To start, the game adds career modes for both racers and the police, However, the career modes are pretty short, and you spend a lot of time replaying levels in order to get enough money to level up.The only reason to collect money is to level up and unlock new cars, one for each level. The cars also need work. They are not balanced very well, so a player with a weaker car stands almost no chance of beating higher cars. There are many levels where the player will have the best car that they have earned, only to face a higher-level car, which they cannot beat, forcing the player to keep replaying previous levels to earn enough to level up and get a higher car. Each level's car is way better than the one before it, so as soon as you unlock a new one, all the ones that you have already unlocked become useless. It also seems like the police cars are far slower than the racer version of the same exact car. The best way to fix the balancing issues would be to have a system that allows players to use their in-game currency to upgrade and customize different parts of their cars, such as the handling or the speed, which would make the game more fair, and more fun The choices of the cars in the game is also not well thought out, at least on the police side. Most of the police cars are just rebranded racer cars, super expensive exotic cars that nobody in their right mind would use as a police vehicle, or generic hatchbacks that you might find parked outside of the grocery store...with similar speed ranges. There are only one or two realistic police cars in the game, as well as a major omission (more on that later). It really seems like the mobile developers just tacked on the police aspect of the game, which was the best part of Hot Pursuit for console and PC, as an afterthought. Aside from the balance issues, the career modes have almost no replay value. Once you have finished all the levels, there is not really that much to do, or much motivation for the player. The console and PC versions have a far superior career mode, and it is rather disappointing that this game has such a lack of content. And another thing: why no Crown Victoria for the cops? It's the most common police car in service, and the console version already has one, so it makes no sense why it is not an option, even as a IAP, (which I would gladly pay for a Crown Vic) especially considering the aforementioned problems with the police cars. The game simply does not seem complete without it. Overall, a half-decent adaption of Hot Pursuit that is hurt by lack of play content, poor car selection and balancing, and lack of the Crown Victoria.

Steal for $1 !

If you already own the NFS Most Wanted then purchasing this game for an additional $1 is a no brainer. I don't know about iPad but in my iPad Mini 2, the graphics are great! I see none of those blockiness some reviewers are talking about. The game is just as enjoyable visually as Most Wanted. So if you are an iPad Mini owner and love NFS games download this without hesitation. PS: using iOS 8.4.2
