Amazing!

Alyce Kat

Talked to cubist games every once in a while about the game, excited. The wait was worth it, though! I got this on Thursday when it came out, so I'm a little late in doing a review. Great depth, character classes, but what can you expect from the makers of The Sinister Fairground and Heavy Metal Thunder :) keep up the good work, guys!

Another hit

archon2004

Not as extreme as Heavy Metal Thunder but still a great adventure. Edit: after reaching the final few chapters, I've hit numerous bugs, one of which has completely stopped my progress. Until the game has been fixed, I can not recommend this.

Bugs and crashes make it a headache

Xpertgamerz

But even tough without the bug I think I might give this a 3.The journey wasnt too execiting, the picture are preety but thats it. So far my favourite book is Sinister Fairground,oh if Cubus game is reading this, please change back Sinister app icon to the original, the new Icon is ugly.

Fun, Relaxed, Attention Grabbing

Finally a choose your own adventure series made well as an app! Smooth plot, well developed characters, and well paced customization along the way thanks to the handy cacao beans! Everyone should try this game at least once.

Beautiful Adventure

MacSpartan

As a child I loved 'choose your own adventure' books. As an adult, I like the same, though with a distinctly more adult lean. Necklace of Skulls is, so far, a game with a huge amount of replay value. The art is lovely, the immersion and the idea of an Aztec focus really make this title stand out from the crowd. This is definitely a game that should be in your library and enjoyed over and over again. A must play for fans of this genre!

Controls need work

Pdxtat2

This seems like it would be a fun game, but the controls need a bit of work. As you scroll down through the story the choices for action are embedded within the text, and if you click anywhere within that field it will record a choice. So everytime you out your finger on the screen to slide the text up to keep reading you have to stop reading and search the bottom of the page to make sure that it doesn't look like there's the edge of the choice section coming up. It makes for a choppy experience. A button to click with the choices as a popup (that can be closed without making a choice) would be better. I've had to restart several times because I've accidentally selected something. Otherwise it's an interesting format and has beautiful art. But the integration of the controls makes it hard to play.

Fun

Pablizzo

Fun to play and read along. The story is interesting and engaging. Careful as you scroll down though, if you try to scroll over an option it chooses it right away.
