Great app, for the money. I used it going from Monterrey to Manzanillo and it worked great the whole time. Could use an update on newer roads and also add some smaller communities. No complaints though! Got me through Guadalajara just fine. Also I didn't have cell service and it wad fine and without a hiccup!

As long as you don't install Panorama View 3D you'll be fine when using an iPhone 4s. iPhone 4 works fine though. Still not a very useful navigation solution for Mexico, very limited indeed.

Buy this app for comic relief. Its attempts to pronounce Mexican place names are so absurd they had us in stitches. Basically, however, it has not the least idea how to pronounce the names and if you had to rely on the spoken names you'd be hopelessly lost. The maps are good, but they were missing a recently completed major highway into Xalapa. As near as I can tell, you only get GPS when you are in a major city. And the directions are not always the best, but it does seem to get you there. The interface does not appear to allow you turn off the spoken directions. You have to turn off navigation entirely. That's a problem.

This app meant for devices with a built in gps antenna, so people who are installing it on there iPod don't expect it to work as good as on your iPhone.

Can't search a POI unless it's in navigon's directory and navigon is missing A LOT of POIs. This is not very helpful in places outside of cities. I can't find my hotel just by entering the name (there's no address since it's in a small town) so I did it manually by zooming in and out of the map. Can't drop a pin, had to mark a place close to it to save it. User interface is also pretty awful. When I try to zoom in, it zooms out to the last setting. Very frustrating.

Purchased this app while in Mexico on vacation due to not needing a cell connection. Problem: unlike older Navigon apps I've used, this one requires a network connection to find most hotels and restaurants (uses 4square). Previous navigon apps used the downloaded maps info to obtain the hotel addresses. DO NOT BUY until they fix this. May as well use google app otherwise.
