Narratavius Story Engine - Interactive Fiction and Text Adventures

Narratavius is an app which allows you to play interactive fiction stories, also known as text adventures. Where Narratavius differs, though, is that it was designed from the ground up to run on iOS. Instead of typing commands into an on-screen keyboard, you will simply tap to make decisions.

Narratavius supports independent authors, and its stories can be written to fall in any genre.

Narratavius currently comes with one story for free, and others may be purchased using in-app purchase. Both the free and paid choices will expand as new versions are created!

Good appearance, enjoyable sample story to play in, really takes me back to the days of "turn to page 23" with more options and less confusion.

Please mention the in game store aspect

Because that would have at least netted you more than one star. I'm sick and tired of apps being labeled as free only to hide therein little more than a means of buying crap. Drop the deceptions!

Very suspenseful

I live in Waterloo Iowa and that was the setting of the story written by Chris Hussey. I enjoyed it immensely and I have gone through the story three times and it's so cool how it ends different each time. Great app, hope to see more stories added in the future!

Very good, but I'd like to see more

K I very rarely write reviews but I feel this is needed. The game is very good as it starts you with one free story and has you pay more to play other stories. The one they start you with seems short but it has a surprising amount of hidden areas if you put your mind to it (don't finish first part till u have a crossbow n chest of gold). The main storys (the castle ones) are very well done and almost everything u find has a purpose. My only complaint is that completing certain tasks (such as killing the harpy) don't yield any reward. Still there are few of these instances. The other story I played (the post apocalyptic one) is also good but it seems like most items in it were purely for filler (I had near every item and beat the game using no more than a pistol, a lock-pick, one firebomb and a heck of a lot of luck) If I could give this app a 4.5 I would but I can't so I'll give it a 5 because I want them to release more stories.

Cool

I found it to be a very interesting game. So many options. So many possibilities.

Great idea

Much needed in the genre.

Needs improvement
CrunchyFries

It does its job perfectly well but lacks features, such as user-made stories. If you could develop something like that then this app would be a hit

Fun!

This definitely has potential. I love the interface, and the game is fun. I wish there was more story, though. I look forward to seeing more from this developer!
