When you are buying some expensive items, you always want to know if the item is maintained, and you will also see the documentation for all the upgrades that have been done. My Items is a system with really nice interphase, and it is super easy to use. Here you can create your valuable items in the system and register all the costs that are connected to the item. It works like an accounting system light for your personal belongings, a document archive where you can store your receipts, invoices, contracts, deeds, proof of ownership and other legal documents. You can create projects and keep track of the cost of upgrades. In the maintenance log you log all the maintenance jobs, and you connect the invoices or receipts that belong to the job. You can also take pictures to document the job.
This is perfect when you own things like a house, apartment, cabin, car, boat, yacht, caravan, mobile homes, motorcycle, aircraft and more. If you are a farmer, it is perfect for keeping track of all the machines on the farm. If you rent out a home, you can run a complete account with income and costs. My Items is a system that can be used for most asset management for private owners.
For the smaller purchases you can use the module called My receipts. Here the system will keep track of all your warranties. If you enter the receipt for your purchases with date and then enter the warranty period and the return period, you will get notifications 10 days before the date expire.
This is how it works:
Enter the receipt or invoice, and enter amount, date, choose a cost type, connect a project and then you get all the information you need in the cost and income report, and your project will be updated. If you rent out an apartment, you can keep complete accounts which will make the tax reporting easier.
