It does allow you to view a fax so a 2 at best!

The app icon shows how many faces have been received (forever) not how many are unread. Really?!

Liars and false advertising

They say that you can cancel online on the front page of their website but then won't let you do this and require you to call them.

Disgustingly HORRIBLE

Isthisnamegoodenough

Do not purchase this service even as a last resort. You will regret it on so many levels. The fax you think you sent, and it said it sent.. Will not be sent. Customer support: Bad Myfax Fax sending: Horrible Fax sending speed: Beyond slow

Wont let me use my existing account -WASTE of MY TIME

Diplomattm

If you have an account it won't let you log in; waste of my time. I am changing over to another fax service after 10 years nearly they don't keep up just siphoning off our money. LAZY. And they are taking away features like being able to use own cover sheet or edit an existing one. DON'T use and cancel your existing account for poor service.

Horrific Billing

Solar Adam

I would not trust J2 with my credit card information again. They say that you are allowed to cancel and I did by phone. They reversed the charges and then started billing me again. I just got another bill 1/26. Their billing dept. seems jaded from getting so many complaints. Like the stock DRYS, I would avoid this app.

Can't Cancel

I signed up to send one fax over the holidays for my father. Then, in January, my bank account was hacked and I was issued a new card. Since I didn't want the service anymore, I never updated my card with them after getting a new one. I even got an email from them stating that they could not bill me for February because my card was reported stolen. Yet somehow they managed to debit my account for February and now for March. When I went into my MyFax account, they have my new card information! But I didn't give it to them. No idea how they got it. Will be reporting to my bank.

User for 10 years . Credit card expired . Billing didn't go through . One day later . All faxes deleted . Crappy customer support .

Still Good after all these years!

I can't remember how long it's been but I would guess longer than ten years that I have been using this service. I do recall I had a "hiccup" with billing in the beginning but after a call it got straightened out, never had a problem since. I would definitely recommend their service. I would hope they would update their online and mobile apps so as to organize the faxes for me but since I saw a couple of bad reviews, I though it was time someone said something positive. I'm happy with them.

Works like a charm

MyFax works just fine for me. There are several bad reviews, and many are focused on the app (which makes sense, seeing as this is the App Store). I agree, there is room for improvement, but it gets the job done, and you don't exactly need a lot of bells and whistles to send and receive a fax. As far as what it costs, you pay a flat fee, rather than buying credits every month. If you're someone who rarely sends/receives a fax, credits may be better for you; but if you regularly fax, I prefer knowing what I'm paying every month. At the end of the day, it's simple and it works. What more do you want?

Service is Adequate; App is Lacking

The myFax service is adequate. It does the basics at a reasonable price with no bells and whistles. It's so bare-bones that it lacks standard electronic fax features like the abililty to add a contact to your list the first time you use it, or warning you if you don't add a file to fax. Still, myFax the service does what it needs to do. myFax the app, OTOH, simply doesn't work. You go through the trouble of attaching a document, entering a number (or selecting from contacts), and tapping "Send," and the only result is a meaningless error saying "invalid email." Not very useful. I got more done using the web site in Safari. Perhaps the folks at j2 are trying to get you to move to their pricier business oriented eFax service. That would be pretty creepy. In any case, this app needs serious work.
