My Token Board

Token Board is a customizable app to motivate children to learn and complete tasks. It is a visual reward system for children with special needs and children of all ages and abilities. A token economy is a system of behavior modification based on the systematic reinforcement of target behaviors. The reinforcers are symbols or "tokens" that can be exchanged for rewards. Rewards are given after a number of tokens are earned. A token economy is based on the principles of operant conditioning and is used in applied behavior analysis (ABA) with children with autism spectrum disorders.

The app provides the children with visual information about when they can earn their reward using a set number of earned tokens.

A Token Board consists of:

- A Reward image showing what the child is working for.
- Token Images showing the progress towards earning the reward.
- An optional Sound which plays when the child earns a token.

Key Features:

- Create a list of names for the children using the app and save their favorite tokens, rewards, and sounds.
- Version 2.0 allows you to save favorite Token Images, Reward Images and Sounds for every child in the list.
- Token and Reward Images come preloaded with a set of child friendly images.
- Token Sounds come preloaded with a set of child friendly encouraging sounds.
- Take photos from within the app or import your favorite Token and Reward images from your Camera Roll.
- Record your own sound from within the app.

Downloaded this today and even paid for it, yet it keeps crashing!

I absolutely love the idea of this app! I am just beyond frustrated that it claims that I can add my own pictures and sounds but that this feature isn’t working. I really hope that this can be fixed soon! I am still usually this app in the meantime with the available pictures and sounds.

This app would be fantastic if I was able to upload my own photos of reinforcers, which I a, supposed to be able to. Every time I try, the app shuts down, and I have tried reinstalling numerous times. I love the premise of this app though and if you use the pictures that come with it, it works fine.

The best Token Economy app

I am a parent of a child on the autism spectrum. My child has been using token economy with his ABA therapists since he was two years old. We used to spend hours printing and cutting out pictures of the things he was interested in at the time. This app is the answer to parents like me and all ABA providers. It lets you use the built in Token and Reward images and sounds, or you can create or record you own. AWESOME!! Now I can easily take a photo of the reward he is interested in, and I can add text and hand drawing to it and use it in the app to motivate him to learn and do his work. So easy!!! I love this app! It has simplified the process of my daily Token economy and made it fun!

Could be great....but...

I can't seem to figure out how to save the data for my children...so I have to reset the picture, reward, and number of tokens every time I close out of the app...and remember how many tokens were previously earned. If that were fixed (or made clearer to me), then this would be a 5 star app. Visually appealing and very motivating for my children.
