Everyone should play this game at least once. While far too random and simplistic to hold attention for an extended time, the game succeeds in raising necessary awareness and empathy.

Really provides some perspective- an interesting and interactive experience for those who are familiar with world conflicts and the plight of the refugee / eye opening and insightful for those who are unfamiliar.
Four Stars for My Life as a Refugee

I am giving this app four stars because, while it is an overall great app, there are some improvements to be made. Things I have noticed need worked on or suggestions I have for you: •the loading time for the information on the Internet is so long that I have not been able to use any online features •story progression needs to be improved; for example, I chose to escape by plane on Amika's story, but a few slides later I was on a boat--if it is not an option at this time to add the plane part in, either remove the option to escape by plane or give the player a reason as to why Amika can no longer go by plane (this is not the only instance I noticed my choices being ignored) •perhaps add in more chances to make decisions--I found myself getting bored after going through several slides in a row where I couldn't make any choices •over time, add in a few more characters •perhaps include the character's home location •I personally found the page displayed after finishing the game to be overwhelming; an updated, more organized design would be appreciated •fix minor grammatical errors and technical issues As I stated at the beginning of my review, this app is great as it is. I especially love the unique artwork. However, for the app to reach a larger audience, some improvements need to be made. Please keep working on My Life as a Refugee, as it's unique and meaningful. I will, for the time being, be keeping this app.

This game has really opened my eyes to the wider world. There could be a bit more choice involved, but overall, this game sends a very good message that more people need to hear.
