Kids want to learn about money, especially coins, before they can read. This program should tell the child what the coin is called and how much it is worth when they click on the coin. The parent can help them, but children want to practice on their own.

App can't count $ correctly

Gribblefibbits

This app was disappointing to say the least. First problem: when the last digit is zero, example .20 cents, the app says $0.2 instead. Kids learning to count change don't understand that the zero can technically be left off there. Second problem: several times we entered the amount requested and the vending machine did not add the coins properly, frequently forgetting to count the nickels. You would have to add an extra nickel to make the faulty vending machine believe you paid enough. You can't teach a child to count out $0.39 by repeatedly making them enter $0.44 instead. Third problem: even if it worked properly it is just plain lame. It is very very basic. There is no incentive to get the answer right, your only reward is a squeaky voice saying "woo hoo!" when they think you are right...even if you are 5 cents over the limit, since the app can't add. No levels, no points, very boring, and inaccurate. What a waste of my $0.99.
