This app is wonderful for very young children, and older kids too, depending on which section section you are playing. There is a section of puzzles with multiple difficulty levels, which are very engaging because once each puzzle is put together, it becomes animated, In another section, young children are required to match up two different sliding pictures. When they are successful, the picture becomes animated in an amusing way. Plus, there is a game with different pictures, and the goal is to tilt the iPad in order to get the ball to roll into the holes in the picture. this is the most challenging game. It is very fun, and gray for fine motor, This app is engaging, with fun and no bright graphics, and is great for fine motor skills, visual spatial skills, matching, cause and effect, and more. The app has no ads, links, or IAPs. I recommend it for younger kids,

Great app

This app is fun and easy to use. No ads, IAPs or other settings for your child to get into. There are three activities: Puzzles, Turning Game and Pinball. Puzzles: The complexity of the puzzle can be set from two up to nine pieces. The feature that I really like for fine motor skills was the rotation feature. The puzzle pieces are rotated and you need to use your thumb and finger to turn them around to the correct orientation before placing them in the puzzle. Good for strengthening the space between the thumb and index finger and for developing visual spatial skills. Turning Game: This game requires the child to match two halves of a picture by moving the sides of the picture on the screen up or down. When the picture is complete, there is a cute animation that follows. Pinball: This game can be played two ways, either by dragging the ball to one of three holes in the picture or by holding the iPad flat and tilting it to make the ball roll into a hole. Each time the ball is in the hole there is a cute animation. This game would be helpful for eye hand coordination. This app would be suitable for younger children but could also be used with older children who have more involved fine motor challenges.

Fun And Engaging App!

This app is wonderfully engaging app that is appropriate for young and older children. One of my favorite parts of the app is that you do not have to no ads or in app purchases. In the first section you are presented with puzzles. You are able to choose from 4 puzzle modes, with two transitions or the puzzle pieces. You can have pieces straight or where a child must rotate them to fit into the puzzle correctly. I found this very engaging because once the child finishes the puzzle, it becomes animated. An excellent motivation for the child. In the second section children see pictures divided into half that spin around. Children are then required to find match by sliding pictures the pictures on the second half up and down. I particularly liked this section because this skill is very important and goes over an important concept; half and whole. When the child matches the halves it becomes whole and they are rewarded with fun animations. I love that this works on matching skills in a fun and engaging way. In the third section a child is presented with a variety of different pictures. Once you click on the picture, it opens up and has three "holes" the child must fill in. A metal ball shoots across the screen, as if playing a pinball game. The objective is to move and tilt the iPad in order to roll the ball into the holes in the picture. This was the most challenging game of the three. I love that this works on spatial skills, fine and gross motor skills. Overall, this is a wonderful app and I would recommend it.

6 stars if it was possible

Mr Ingals

We own vol. 1 of this app. That is definitely a 5 star app. This one is even better. It uses the same format of 3 clever mini games for your toddler but manage to improve on a lot of things that felt complete already in vol. 1. I would give this app 6 stars if it was possible as it is a step up from an already stellar app. The graphic style and the cute end of game animations are my favorite features.

Sweet app for thinking and problem solving skills!

My First App Vol. 2 Circus is a really sweet app for preschoolers to begin learning basic problem solving, reasoning, sequencing, puzzle and patterning skills. It would be a very nice resource for fine motor skills. I like that the user can modify the difficulty level of the puzzles by selecting the number of pieces, and the way the puzzles are completed (rotation of pieces vs. non-rotation). The 2 levels of difficulty in the Pinball game also help to make this game suitable for older elementary children. This app will be great for beginning iPad skills, fine motor, and thinking and reasoning skills. Recommended.

Fantastic app!

Although this app is called "My First App" if you purchase this for your baby, this app will grow along with him/her. It comes with 3 games: puzzle, matching, and pinball. The puzzle can be set to varying difficulties from a simple 4 piece puzzle to a 9 piece puzzle where you have to rotate the pieces to make them fit. In the pinball game, the younger child guide the ball with his or her finger and the older child can guide the ball by tilting the device in the right direction. There is no clutter in this app, meaning your child will be focused with the task at hand. There are no written directions and it does not need it because it is simple to figure out. There are no ads or links of any kind. My children enjoy this app and I highly recommend it!

Another Hit

Bright, cheerful, fun. I appreciate the developer does not have any links to take a child out of the app.

Simple and cute

Mmarker

Cute little app for toddlers that enjoy puzzles. Options to scatter pieces from a few pieces to 9. Lots of scenes to pick from.

Cute and Simple

Tried this app out with my 2 year old (who of course is very advanced! heh heh). He found it fun. I had to help him understand a few of the tasks as they are not all completely intuitive, but after a brief bit of instruction, he took off with it. If you're someone who believes it's OK to give your kid an iPad before age 2, then this app would be good for you. I could see my kiddo getting bored by the time he's 3, but for the price, it's a great deal for a starter app.
