My daughter and I love the ABC Train! The animation is wonderful and the ability to customize the cars makes for wonderful happy surprises! Usually my daughter gets upset when "m" doesn't stand for "mama" - so this solves that problem and I get to add other family members for even more smiles. Clever app!
Great app for ABC's

This application keeps my 2 and a half year old engaged for longer than I ever imagined. I like that it is easy to start a game; my little one can click the app and start his own game with no problem. This is the third application I have purchased from Loeschware and my little one definitely enjoys learning with these apps.

I WANT to love this app (my 3 year old is a train fanatic) - but after customizing the entire alphabet it always gets stuck on L. We can't get past it (even after trying to change our L assignment). Every. Time. It's a 32gb itouch with the latest OS.

A great app on several levels

My 2.5 year old sons loves this app. First, it has trains! What boy doesn't love trains? The animations in each train car are great. There will be a letter, say a graffiti style capital D. The child can tap the letter to hear it's name. Then you slide open the train door and see a drum set. If you tap on the drums, there's a brief animation of the drums playing and lights flashing. Each letter of the alphabet has a similar animation. But why my boys like the most is the train engine. You can tap various parts of the train to see and hear different effects such as tapping the driver to see him ring the bell. My only suggestion would be to add some sort of alphabet index so you can skip to specific letters if you want. Otherwise I think it's a wonderful app that's very well designed.
Not the best, but entertains for awhile

Game shuts off suddenly sometimes. My 3-yr old likes it, but it would be nice if the train cars opened to something different once in a while. Also a bit difficult to scroll through the cars if you're trying to reach a certian letter (my son like seeing the V car). Overall, more variety would probably hold his interest a little longer and would offer a better educational benefit.
