MusicSoft Manager is available in the following countries: United States, United Kingdom, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Luxembourg.
[Functions]
- Backup data on your instrument to the app, or restore data to your instrument from the app. Compatible Yamaha instruments with wi-fi capability can connect to an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad via wi-fi connection and transfer content. You can also connect your instrument to an iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad and backup your song data to the MusicSoft Manager. You can then transfer the song data stored in the app back to your instrument.
You can also connect your instrument using Yamaha's i-MX1 interface. In case of iPhone5, iPod touch(5th generation), iPad(4th generation) and iPad mini, you can use i-MX1 with Apple Lightning to 30-pin Adapter. For instruments that have an USB to Host terminal, you will need an iPad(3rd/4th generation), iPad2 or iPad mini(& Apple Lightning to 30-pin Adapter) with the Apple iPad Camera Connection Kit.
- Data management
Changing file names and other functions that are more time consuming to perform on the instrument can be done directly and easily from the app itself.
- Use the Dropbox* and iTunes file sharing functions to share data with your computer.
The Dropbox* and iTunes file sharing feature can be used to transfer MIDI data purchased from YamahaMusicSoft from your computer to MusicSoft Manager, and data stored in MusicSoft Manager can be backed up to your computer.
*Dropbox is a free online storage service provided by Dropbox Inc.
[Compatibility confirmation]
Please see the MusicSoft Manager page on the Yamaha website for compatible models. http://www.yamaha.com/kbdapps/
This app CRASHES every time the piano is recognized. I’m running iOS 13 on an iPad Air 2, and the piano is an Yamaha DXG 660. Both are supposed to be compatible with this app. Very disappointed :-(
I can no longer transfer midi files off my DTX502 drum module because the app crashes mid transfer. The app is fixed for iOS 13 but not iOS 14....can we get an update?
Despite the demo video telling me I could use this app, I can’t get the app to communicate correctly with my CSP-170. Quite disappointed. I addition, Dropbox support is no longer useful, since they limit the number of devices that can connect to the Dropbox account unless you pay a premium, which I am unwilling to do just for my piano.
This is one of the best apps i have found till now. Appreciated your hard work. Btw, here wa can provide rating, review, so as to the keyword searching install.Want to get more organic users, then find us in upmobi.xyz
Looks like Yamaha doesn’t support this app anymore, or they don’t support the EW410, or they don’t support the iPad Pro, or they don’t support the iPhone 8. It must be one of these because it doesn’t work for me Yamaha has been very short sighted by not supporting the Mac platform and they’ve shown a rush to market by not implementing the ability to load midi directly from usb without the need for external software. I wish I hadn’t bought this keyboard.
I initially gave the app one star since it didn't work for me. However, finally I understood its modus operandi. First of all, if the app doesn't seem to work for you and your instrument has two USB ports, try to insert your wifi adapter into a different USB port. That solved part of the problem for me: the app started to "see" files on the instrument. To find copied files in your Dropbox you'll need to locate the "Apps" folder. Inside the "Apps" folder you'll see a folder named "MusicSoftManager" - that's the one you need.
"Communication with the USB device has failed." is all the Tyros 4 keeps saying. Even after removing the WiFi doggle.
Says the newest update now supports the dtx502 module, yet it's not in the list when you select your instrument.
I gave 3 stars cause I haven't played but I know it had my and maybe your favorite songs try it give it a chance - awesomegirl1
