Questionable review below me to say the least... This app is a new idea. I like music apps and this one could be useful with some practice. If you really want music apps tho all you need are thumbjam, beatmaker, fourtrack, and jasuto pro. This one has nothing on them.

Got this app yesterday and can't stop playing with it. It's the most fun I've had on my iphone and think the concept is so cool. truly innovative and while i'm not a musician, this makes you feels like one.

The Musical DNA app is clearly more than just a game or toy. What they have done here is nothing short of redefining how music should be taught and represented visually. As a musician, I am floored at the simplicity and intuitiveness of the interface, and equally envious with a feeling of "why didn't I think of that?!" Bravo - this is stunning. Now I want the version for drums too!

I am a college student taking classes in music and this app is both a lot of fun and often a helpful tool for visualizing chords and creating new music. The aesthetics are great and it has yet to let me down with what it can do. If applied to a different format I feel the concepts behind this app could change the way people learn to play and create music.

I'm impressed how well Musical DNA expresses the natural symmetries in western music, while supporting a natural-feeling play mechanic. There have really only been a handful of visual notations for 12-tone music since the dawn of western music. It's no small deal, therefore, that this app is nothing less than a new way to think about and visualize western musical theory.

I tend to look for apps that offer unique musical interfaces and this is that in spades. I would like to see Open Sound Control output so it can be used as a studio controller instrument. I would also like to see options to rearrange the notes in the circle -- fifths would be great for a start -- this would allow us to work different to tonal centers at different parts of the circle instead of just one chromatic loop.

I like idea behind it. It seems like it has good potential but if you want to do anything spectacular with it right now, you REALLY have to know what your doing. I think a great update for it would be the ability to remove notes from the circle so your screen isn't so cluddered with uneeded notes.

This is a great idea and the implementation of what we only wish we could see clearly in our minds while we compose and play (maybe you can, but I can't). Would love to see utilization of the accelerometers for pitch bending, vibrato, etc. Circle of 5ths would be helpful, too.

My dad got this for me as a gift. I'm studying music and voice in high school and this is a great tool to building melody and chords for improving w/ friends around school. My friends and I like the share function - which seems to have stopped working - but I checked w/ the Company and a patch is one the way! Thx for a great new tool that's fun too!
