This is very cool! I do wish they would show a visual of the chords on the keyboard. Other than that, this program is a neat program.
This app is the greastest app I have come across. I've had my iPhone for awhile and i have not come across something as helpful and useful. With it's helpful references it has come in handy time and time again. I would recommend this app to any, espically anyone who loves music.
Wow!!! That thing should cost a lot of $. Great for music teachers, students, recreational musicians and wanna be Dj's.
This is the very app what i want. With this app, i can make my own music easily wherever i am. Even if it costs, i would buy. (however it doesnt sound on vertical screen mode)
I'm reviewing this from an iPad perspective. It is still really helpful to figure out chords and seeing how they are implemented on the piano. Don't get me wrong, no other free app on the ipad is that good, yet. The only thing I'm bothered by, is that the space on the iPad isn't fully utilized. I could easily see a lot more scales and the information could be better organized. Also, I might as well have found an app on the iPhone catalogue, as this app looks like it was scaled up... Poorly. I'm glad it was a free download though.
Truly revolutionary interface! I wish you could send out midi to my logic ableton live setup?
If you are making music or want to understand how it's magic works. Well you found one great tool. This app let you pick a scale and other parameters and show you only the notes that will work in this scale, so you can't play wrong. How cool is that! You don't need to know about music theory and you can play like you do! I won't say much about the price, except that a good strategy to let the tool evolve with the feedback of the early users. Here is some feedback for the dev team: - it would be great to have the choice of better sounding instruments - it would be sweet to have a view where the notes and chords are bigger and design for creation - and same request than an other review: A way to send midi via USB or wifi to Live or other midi devices Thanks for the great app in hope you can make it better and better. Cheers!
Ok. I was browsing through the app store looking for a piano that would help me with scales. When I saw this one, it's like,"Ok, this is probably not gonna work." I tried it anyway. I pressed the show scale button and my mouth just hung open. And then I was like,"OMG, this is exactly what I was looking for!!! For FREE?!?!" If you need help with scales OR chords, GET IT.
I was browsing apps like this and was impressed at the functionality here. I still think I will stick to Simple Song Writer for the most part, and didn't think it was worth the upgrade price just to add more modes. More sounds, recording, exporting, and larger buttons would be needed for the price they're asking. The free app, though, is a great tool for free.
