Designed with the extensive help of professional piano teachers, this fundamental tool is for those who are learning to play piano or other musical instruments, as well as for anybody else who needs practicing sheet music reading.

The application has four sets of flash cards divided into stages with increasing knowledge level. By choosing either one or a combination of any of the four sets, you can start testing yourself and study at the same time. The specially designed shuffling algorithm will start showing more often those cards, which were not answered correctly.

Choose Notes from either Treble clef, Bass clef, Alto clef or the combination of Treble and Bass clefs ("Grand" mode).

Use "Timer" to test your knowledge.

The "Results" screen will show your progress as well what you need to continue working on.

With the "Cards Info" screen you can see how the cards are arranged by sets and stages.

Glad I took the gamble

Very flexible, very good flash card style app for music notes, rhythms, intervals and symbols. Mix and match categories in your studies. Timer feature for speed test. It would be nice if it had timer results for each separate category, and adjustable timer tests. Sound would be ideal for notes and intervals, especially when you answer correctly...train the ear. I'm a beginner. This is most definitely helping me learn. It will no doubt help me for months to come, and always be there for quizzing after that. Definitely a keeper. Room for adding to it, but really an excellent start.

I did not find this helpful at all. There is no explanation about time signatures, note names or anything. All I can find are flash card "TESTS" Really disappointed.

Great for Music Students of All Levels and Ages

At first, I thought the idea of purchasing a music-oriented flash card app was odd, given the wealth of general purpose flash card apps available. However, once I started using it, I quickly realized how well this app was designed to meet its goal. It drills musical symbols very well, including note values, clefs, marks, and instructions. The feedback chart is really useful for showing points of strength or weakness. It's complete enough to be instructive, but simple enough to use for kids or adults. I recommend it highly for the music student (piano or otherwise) in your home.

Doesn't work. Please do something.

It is a really good app for kids in piano my piano teacher said to me at the end of my lesson go on your I-pod and get this app and I did and it really helps me and teaches me new notes and other things I have to learn by my next lesson and I think you should get it to!

Super Learning Tool

This program is super...I don't care if our 6 or 60 this app will show you how to read music...and it keeps the brain matter active with fun challenges, and answers if needed to learn. The quizes are exciting and go on as long as you want them to. Buy this app...it is well worth the money and you will learn so much...the easy way !!! the fun way.

Really basic, and overpriced

I suspect the glowing reviews are fake, since this app is really not that good. I'd give it three or four stars if it were free. If it had some game-play aspect that would make my kids want to play it then I'd give it five and be glad to pay more. As it is, it's just a really simple flash-card app.

Like it
Frustrated and displeased

I like that this app has cards for things other than note names. It is an easy app to use. It would be a HUGE improvement, though, if the option was included to identify the beat value of the rhythms, for an example in common time a whole note has four beats.

Great app for students

This app is great! I have my piano students use this and they love it! I love that there is alto clef but I'd love to have tenor clef as well.

Awesome, Addicting, and Educational!

As a Worship Leader in my local church, it’s tough for me to read music. My vocal teacher recommended I get music flash cards, but I found the next best thing! This app makes learning fun! It’s almost as addicting as any iPhone game out there right now! I hope the app developers read this review and are encouraged to expand the app and add other elements of music such as chord structures. Tremendous job!!! Great App!
