The Music Cue app does not come with any music. Instead, it uses the songs you already have on your device. Consequently, if you don't have any music on your device, you won't be able to create any cues.
_____________________________________________________________
Music Cues was created so that you could more easily use music in the classroom to help students become independent and self-directed: two key traits of a happy, productive classroom. Harnessing the power of the right brain, Music Cues will quickly have your students taking care of business without the need for you to verbally direct them.

For example, if I wanted my students to come to the carpet for a lesson, I just played Bill Nye, the Science Guy. As soon as they heard the first few notes, everyone knew exactly what to do. Not only that, they knew how long they had in which to do it. And the entire process was achieved without a word from me.

But as great as that strategy is with nothing more than a CD of songs or an iTunes playlist of songs, the app—as you will soon see—makes the whole concept so much easier to use. You'll just tap the song cue and the song linked to it will play.

And when the song is over? Silence. You won't hear the next song on the CD or the next song in the playlist. Only the song you wanted to hear is played.

> create song cues that link to a specific song in your device library

> play the song with two quick taps (tap the cue, tap the Play button)

> delay the start of the song by using the on-screen countdown timer feature

Useful little app. Helps keep kids on track and makes transitions fun. AirPlay support would be a big bonus!

Doesn't work :(
@cogswell_ben

I downloaded this after hearing about it at a Rick Morris training. I tried it out, but many times the music doesn't play or doesn't work. I emailed for tech support but haven't heard back (about a week so far). I hope the bugs get worked out so I can actually use the app.

Great for my Special Education Class
MicheyF

I use this application to start the day, have kids move groups, go to the carpet, go to their desk, classroom discussion, and line up at the door, and more. I really like the application. My only suggestion is that you make it possible to use a certain number of seconds of a song, use the chorus or part of the song you want, and make it possible to edit what you call the cue. Thank you for the great application!

This app does not work in my iPad or iPhone. It was so easy to set up, but songs do not play! So disappointing!

I love the idea of this app. However, I cannot get it to work properly. It will not consistently connect to songs and often times will not play once it has connected. I spent additional money buying songs the students would enjoy and know I cannot use them either. Frustrated and disappointed.

Gets Us Moving

Every morning my students and I start the day with a song from our class playlist. I use it to signal transitions for all subjects, including their favorites, lunch and recess. ;)

Won't open

I think the idea for this app is a great one. I downloaded for use in my classroom but the app won't even open.

Organized and easy
Irottori

I love the ease of the program but I would find it helpful if more than one song could be played per cue. For instance, I was hoping to be able to play music for the first 15 minutes of the day.

Super disappointed

This app does not play the music and closes out on me! I was really excited to try this in my classroom, but with all the bugs won't be using it.

Wouldn't Work
MrsCRobertson

Very disappointing, because it is a cool idea. Also, not nearly enough options of what plays when.
