Beautiful

On the one hand this app doesn't have a vast collection of specimens yet; but what it has going for it is a clean, simple and beautiful index that is easy to use. I like that they update the collection automatically without a whole app update. It kind of keeps the magic in foraging because you feel like you are referencing an old tome instead of just your iPhone

Beautiful, simple, but not enough

I would love too see and update adding "Hen of the Woods" and "Turkey Tail" or some other edibles with no look likes

Not an identifier app, but excellent regardless

Although this app is labeled as an identification app, there is currently a very limited number of mushrooms actually included (25 at the time of writing). I was a bit disappointed by this, as it wouldn't have much practical use in the field. However, this is a fantastic app if you just want some information about notable mushrooms. The layout is stylish, the illustrations are gorgeous, and the articles are flush with interesting information about each mushroom. If you just approach this app as a nicely laid out mycology gallery, it's superb.

Should I eat it?

This app takes up less space than its competitors and gives you more information about more mushrooms. If you are an avid hiker or cook, this app will be on your first page. We own a restaurant in Germany and use this app every time we go mushroom hunting! It's fabulous. And our customers love our new mushroom finds!

Great Illustrations

I’m really loving all the illustrations in this app. I haven’t used the map yet, but it looks really useful for tracking my finds.

Not Worth It

Only one illustration of a specific mushroom. Reused sketches to describe the characteristics of the mushroom. Basic information to describe mushrooms. Not happy with the app. It's not very conventional, especially when mushrooms can look different compared to photos. I suggest an app with real photos and more information.

Good, but limited.
Evilsceptile

Has 57 mushrooms currently, however has very little to distinguish edible mushrooms from poisonous mushrooms that are similar.

Ok, but needs work

I know nothing about mushrooms. This app may help a little, but not much. I expected more general information about mushrooms and to see a map of where each mushroom could be found - like bird field guides do. Unless all mushrooms are found everywhere. Who knows? They don't tell you.

CRASH-O-RAMA!!!
