Best Magic app Ever

Ihatepikemen.

This is the best source for judges and casual players & store owners. I can't even begin to explain how useful it is to be able to do keyword & phrase search both cards and comp rules. Updates come the second there is a new set or rules change.

Awesome and up to date

Best MtG reference app ever.

Has all the info you need to be a informative player. It takes a little work to learn, but it has all the info you will ever need to develop great playing card decks.

Better than the Official

CallerofStorms

I tried Toolbox and this app is better 1000%!!! I absolutely love this app and its counterpart (Trades). Between the two of them, I have easily the best card search and easy access to prices. A+++ and I cannot recommend this app enough!

Not flawless, but highly recommended

Fancyultrafresh

Quite the encyclopedia at your fingertips. Already optimized for iOS 11, it loads very quickly. If you want a quality data-dump, this is your app.

Highest Recommendation

As a card and rule reference, a must have for new and experienced players. Well maintained with regular updates.

Great app!!

Love it

Absolutely exceptional utility

MagnorCriol

Impeccable app. Intuitive interface, professional and sleek appearance, thorough database, just an all-around useful program. Very fast, as well, for those times when you need a swift ruling or price. I use it constantly for referencing cards and rules alike. Well worth the small price.

Still use it, AMAZING!

My original review follows, but I will summarize my thoughts now, after almost two years of playing (skip to triple asterisks for TLDR): I still use this app in every major event I participate in, and frequently in FNM to help explain things to new players. I've gifted it several times to people, because this app is the ***only app needed to understand both the basic rules, fundamentals of how play works, every card ever printed, and complexities/advanced parts of MTG*** (I'm a cheap person, but this is huge bang for your buck). It has massively feature rich: you can search by card name, text, or rulings (which includes specific card rulings after the larger events); it contains both comprehensive and tournament rules, which are also search enabled- and which have 100% functional hyperlinks (within the app!) that will jump you to the exact part of a rule/ ability/ whatever you need to know about so calling a judge is unnecessary; has updated card prices with images that are set specific; and, most importantly, all of this is usually updated within about 48 hours of a major event, with the longest I've seen it take for a new set to be added is under a week. Dang, man. That's incredible. I've gone from clueless to placing top three in an event with over 75 people (sometimes anyone can get lucky). I've gone from *unbelievably awful* drafter to placing first in full swiss, because knowing how rules *really* work is integral to not only drafting well, but catching your opponent when they try to slip something past you. With this app, I'm almost always a competent, confident player (note- not always a winner, and still a complete chaos draft noob!), and I no longer irritate my opponent for slow play, or asking to reread a card, or needing a judge around- unless that's my intention. ; ) I would still love a personal card database, but I understand that's out of this app's intended scope. However, the ability to search by card number and/or artist is something I feel would be appropriate (as it's the only search function missing). **My gratitude still for the developer, and thank you for your diligence in maintaining this app.** (My original review after purchasing as a new player in 2015): This guide and card database is absolutely indispensable (really, it's everything you could want but a personal collection database). Beginners to judges, I've even seen people using this app during a pro-tour qualifier. It's absolutely the best, with the most comprehensive search features, all of which are intuitive. I purchased this when I first began playing because the rules were pretty baffling to me (Them: standard is at least a 60 card deck. Me: Awesome! okay! Them: Well, not tokens. Me: Wait, what? Because I make tokens with at least 8 of my creature spells and 4 instants. How do I count those then? Them: they sit off to the side Me: So I don't get a sideboard?....) Thank goodness I'm not an idiot anymore, and I still find this to be an indispensable app. It's even more helpful now than it was then, since I don't have to ask others about rule questions regarding specific cards and get kitchen table answers that aren't completely correct. This *always* gives me the correct answer, and I can easily figure out the casual play rules from that. I can't thank you enough.

Great app!

This app is a must have for any judge. Also, really great if you and your buddies get into arguments over the rules frequently. Great user interface, and intuitive to use.
