My kid was so excited to try this app, but after few moves the app keep shutting down. Need update i guess. New iPad with iOS 7.0.4
Mr. Fox and shapes. I love this app for early learners! Mr. Fox and shapes is an engaging app for learning colors, shapes, and early math concepts in a no-stress and fun way. Kids can freely explore 5 different activities picture builder out of shapes, shape recognition within colors and negative space, and 3 different picture builders. Each activity also explores the iPad's capabilities, as with the shape recognition game, shaking the iPad changes the placement of the shape. This not only helps kids learn to scan (a precursor to reading) to find the shape, it keeps their minds active by using their bodies. It is bright and cheerful, without a lot of overwhelming input. Highly Recommended.
The game looks and sounds very good. But it has a fatal flaw with the puzzles. The puzzles have outlines where multiple pieces can fit, yet it gives you no guidance as to which piece is the one it wants. So it is basically a guessing game with no challenge. So, despite its attraction, it bores my 3 y.o. daughter. Maybe younger kids would be challenged, but there are better games that do the same thing.
