Works as stated.

Would really like true 4.0 multitasking support. The app stays open, however it stops calculating mpg changes. Look for word to seeing why they have in store next. Would really like to see a much needed update to the sister GoLink app. That closes as soon as you switch apps and the code reader needs a lot of improvement. Seeing as I could have just gotten a dedicated vagcom with more capabilities for cheaper the the cable price. I would have to say that given this is a newer interface with the iPhone I overall very pleased with these apps.

Better view of info would be nice so you don't have to strain your eyes to see while driving.

Very simple

ShrillSauce

Just plug in the cable and it gives the info that it says.

I believed in Popular Mechanics review but product fell short

I got the golink cable and downloaded the software with high hopes. Popular Mechanics gave rave reviews of Golink and it's functions. I figured I have a 1998 Homda Accord, one of the best selling cars on the market. For sure it should work. Well it is a disappointment that all it can show me is RPM's. No mpg, or anything else. Yes it shows a code for a failed shifter switch but can't show anything else. I tried it in my 2004 ford F150 and got half the data. The top selling truck and only some information. I then tried it in my 2007 Honda Crv and everything scanned but it crashed often. Multiple times I had to reconnect it. I was let down by PM's review and even more so seeing golink pushes you towards dashcommand which has terrible reviews. Neither company has updated their product. If there was a physical product dept of consumer affairs would go after them for false advertising. Hopefully Golink will fix the crashes and maybe provide something more for horsepower and fixes to older ODBII compliant cars and have a more fully functional stable product in the future. As for them pushing you towards dashcommand that's a whole other issue which makes golink look bad. If you have a very new car it does ok but crashes to much. I'm not sure if the $99 is worth the cost.

Decent App

wheel2work

I downloaded this app as part of the entire GoPoint package and it does meet my current needs. The MPG and fuel functions are not supported for my vehicle, but it should be a nice tool if I ever upgrade!

Broke my cable

H0ffy

It said my cable required a new firmware update and failed mid update need less to say it didn't work and had to be returned after that... There other apps work miracles though! Just don't use this one.

mpgLINK review

hardmantoplz

works well when it connects. Seems to have some trouble at times with the connection. The goLINK works well but the mpgLINK seem to take along time to load up the info. once it is connected seems to work fine. Overall the app is free so its a good value for the trouble.

Needs to run in background

Writtenbyangela

This app needs to run in the background so I can use my gps app at the same time and still get my MPG average in the background.
