Platform issues and awful Discovery content

I consider the Hot Rod/Roadkill and Motor Trend content of the last few years to be the best of its kind for true gearheads. Unfortunately, all of my favorite content is hidden behind a cumbersome platform, and with the most recent update, any attempt to play a video crashes the app. Platform stability issues have recently been compounded by the decision to flood MTOD with Discovery/Velocity drivel. No doubt Motor Trend’s deal with Discovery provides the resources necessary to continue financing production of shows like Roadkill, but with the exception of Wheeler Dealers and maybe 1 or 2 other shows, Motor Trend/Discovery must recognize that guys like me come to MTOD to get away from the fake drama and contrived scenarios found on Discovery/Velocity, not to sort through layers of it just to find the latest episode of Engine Masters. 5 stars for the original MTOD content + 0 for recent content decisions & platform issues = 2.

With the recent update I can’t even watch roadkill extra without the whole app crashing. We came here for roadkill & roadkill related content .. Nobody cares about decades old American Chopper episodes ... In the beginning everyone was upset we had to pay for MTOD content .. Now we have to be submitted to garbage content and frequent crashes? It only took you guys how many months to get the commenting system working that only works on via desktop. Get it together .. it’s embarrassing ... you’d think with all that discovery money you could hire software dev’s and a decent IT team that wasn’t recently fired from geek squad ...

Great until I connect to my car

The app itself plays great with my Bluetooth speaker at work. But as soon as i get in my car and connect to the Bluetooth in there I get no sound. I like listening to shows while I drive, or sit in the parking lot before work. But I can’t with this app, YouTube works fine, but not motor trend on demand. Aside from this complaint I’m very happy with the format though.

Recent update makes watching Roadkill Extra impossible because it crashes all the time along with the app crashing while trying to watch other videos as well. Layout of videos now makes it hard to find the show that I actually want to watch like roadkill, engine masters, roadkill garage etc (you know the good ones and the reason I even bought this subscription)!! Advice to put all the discovery shows under a different category. Put some of that discovery money to use and fix these issues. Thanks -concerned Roadkill Fan

With the new format and all the crap shows you have flooded the site with I can’t even open a episode of roadkill or engine masters or hotrod garage or dirt everyday please fix the site and stop flooding it with garbage from discovery channel. The discovery shows are awful!!!

Please fix the crashing issues on iPhone and make a favorites playlist so we don’t have to see all the crappy shows like gas monkey and what not. Thanks

App is unstable at best. Will freeze up when certain programs are played and completely shut down when others are selected. Worked fine up until one of the more recent updates. Pretty terrible for an app you pay a monthly subscription for to view full content...

New Update Stinks

I pay 4.99 a month so I can watch the content early. Well with the newest update I can’t do that and certain episodes crash the app or don’t play at all. Especially the RK extra. Motor Trend needs to fix this ASAP.
