Attention night owls (also, compulsive snoozers, heavy sleepers, and post-wake-up nappers; ambitious people in general who like to play hard but also need to work hard the next morning):

To reach your peak of productivity, Morning Worm will transform you, practically overnight, into the bright-eyed and bushy-tailed early bird that somehow always seems to get that darn worm before everyone else is even out of the nest. Fret not, young padawan; this transformation is easy and painless (in a relative sense, of course).

The Morning Worm app is a novel and innovative approach to waking you up in the morning – and making sure you stay up. No more missing class; no more being late to work; no more alarm clock on the other side of the room.

At the sound of the buzzer, Morning Worm will require you to complete a "trigger," an objective of sorts that will engage your mind and activate your senses when you'd otherwise be bleary-eyed and glum. And as if that weren't enough, the default alarm sound is a blaringly loud siren to ensure that you at least open your eyes in the morning. (Hint: you can sidestep the siren for your own music if you really want to).

Complete the trigger and you will be greeted with the pleasantness of an early morning calm, or the continued groove of your own preselected beats. Then, get up, get dressed, and embark on your most productive 24 hours to date. But don't forget to brush your teeth first.

Features:
- Wake up to any song from your iPod library (choose some appropriate tune-age; we like "Wake Your Mind Up" by 311)

- Choose from several triggers to light a spark in your noggin: Jigsaw puzzle and Shake & Wake come preloaded

- Stop your music after completing the trigger, or let the beats guide you out of bed as you dance and shimmy through your morning routine

- Download additional triggers from the Morning Worm Store

…And that's the Morning Worm.

Doesn't work with passcode lock
Lepisma

Would be exactly what I wanted if not for this hiccup. Since I can easily disable or postpone the alarm without initiating the puzzle, it defeats the purpose. Sure it goes off every minute thereafter, but I can turn that off in my sleep a dozen times before I actually wake up.

Doesn't do what it claims

1. When not in the app, the alarm comes in like a text. You hit any button and it stops. 2. Horrible horn goes off along with the music unless you left the app on. 3. Music doesn't start until you open the app. 4. Two boring triggers. Needs updates. It only costs 99cents, but I'm so annoyed, I'm going to get a refund.

misleading

From the description, I believed my chosen song would play at the alarm time. Instead, awful siren sounds played. Once I opened the app, my song began playing from iTunes. It would have been simpler and made more sense for me to just use iTunes. And the puzzle was annoyingly acting more like a safe lock than a helpful tool. It seemed the puzzle had to be solved to get to any other part of the app at that point. I got this app because I wanted to wake up to a song of my choice. This app does not do that.

Fantastic, needs more options
Thatguywiththeiphone

Wonderful app. Only complaints are it needs more triggers, maybe even a customizable jigsaw. And something else so you don't have to keep resetting it every night.

It works. Best one I've used for sure

I'm watching the iron giant right now. That movie is freaking great. It's also 1am. I have to be up at 7. I know i get up cause I've got this app. Now that's confidence right there. Also a great movie. Watch it. Relive your childhood. Or your childs childhood.

Lack of Updates
Fashion Feen

While this app is great it still has a few bugs that it needs to work out on the back end to ensure a smoother user experience. And while I haven't used this app in the past few months, I've had this app over a year - almost 2 years actually. The lack of updates to keep the app up and running + the broken promises of more creative options to keep us notorious alarm snoozers on our toes - and awake - is disappointing to say the least. The main reason why I stopped using it is due to the lack of options and the bugs which gets annoyingly redundant after a while. Hopefully, the creators ARE actually working on something and not just leading us on.

Improvements for the future update.

I like this app but it when the alarm goes off, my happy music plays second but my first trigger doesn't go off. The second trigger goes off but it isn't waking my brain up....

Good but needs more features

Cool app, I tend to turn my alarms off in my sleep. Even physically getting out of bed while asleep and turning the off. Some ideas for additional features I have in mind would be Repetition (set for weekdays, ever Monday, every tuesday, etc.) Haven't tried it yet but a setting to make sure it will have sound even if your phone is on silent or vibrate.

Handy but lack of support

The company has all but abandoned the app, I don't see any updates in our lifetime.

No

Great idea but horrible execution. The company doesn't care about this app and they are not concerned about improving
