I'm Trying SO Hard To Like This Game..

I keep coming back to this game multiple times a day, desperately trying to figure out the game play. I'm am NOT a fan at all of turn-based RPGs. At all. And that's what this game is.. But it goes further (in a bad direction than that); there's literally an "Auto" button you can toggle on and off to have the character fight completely automatically. As if turn based games aren't boring enough.. Now the default option is to watch them fight without any input from the user? I just don't understand... I love love love the artwork and the characters and the tarot cards, ankhs, pentagrams and everything else - but the game play is a real downer for me. The only positive I have on that part is that at least the game looks amazing since that's all you'll be doing - watching and not playing. And also the music... The music is really "analog, fighter 64-Bit style".. Which is not cohesive at all with the general aesthetic of the game. It should be more ethereal and spooky. Even a 64 bit version of spooky would be better (but still not the best choice). It's like they had two people with different ideas for a game and just mashed 2 completely different ideas together... Change the music and make the game something you can actually play instead of just watch and it would be my favorite game ever!! Only 2 stars because the game is beautiful.

This game stands out from the many other collect-and-fight games available on the App Store. Yes, the basic premise is the same, but the unique style, fun soundtrack, and dark atmosphere sets it apart. Definitely give it a try.

Best game ever!!! You should download it is amazing but I wish you can play offline on this long road trips or just need a time killer for when you dont have any internet. This game deserves all 5 stars keep up the great work and please dont become pay to win cause thats what ruins good games like this.

Beautiful piece of art, but I want to play it

This game has some of the best graphics that you can find on an iPhone. It is truly a piece of art within a game, not to mention it having a great story. Now, I really do like the look of this game, yet I can not come to enjoy the gameplay. Instead of being able to interact and desire the fate of my characters through strategic moves, the characters seem to play themselves with not interaction with the exception of activating a power every few moves. Also, the stamina bar seems to refill at such a sluggish rate, that I tend to forget the story that occurred previously due to having to wait for what seems like decades to beat a level. Sure, the game needs to last longer. However, I can not truly enjoy it when the max I can play is limited so greatly. This issue is with many games, I will say, and several of them have been remedied. If that, along with more involvement in the game, was to be implemented, this game would be an absolute gem and I would spend much more time enjoying it, not waiting to play. (Excuse the long sentence)

Normally I am not a fan of RPG's but I love the design and the characters and the fact that you can set it to fight automatically makes grinding a lot easier. That being said, the leveling up of the characters is a bit of a pain. Grinding resources to level characters up can easily take up all of your stamina and then you have to wait a long time to make that stamina back and progress in the story. Also, some of the monthly and weekly locations are acting strange. It says I need to be level 10+ to do the Easy route but I'm level 11 and it's still locked for me. All in all, though, this is a nice game.
