Won’t function

Up to a handful of days ago, this app would work effectively for what it was. A decent way to stay up on some local Michigan news. For some reason, even after repeatedly deleting and reinstalling, the app won’t load. Not sure what is going on. I am on an iOS platform
Horrible update

The latest update is horrible. Black background with white text is obnoxious and hard to read. Won’t stay set on my local region any longer and keeps defaulting to state news. The newsfeed is hard to locate stories with the headlines being small and buried under 1 or 2 highlighted stories.
Weak reporting and terrible selection.

Over 50% of the first 20 articles on the feed were subscriber only. No thanks. Good luck. Channel 3 WWMT’s all has wide variety of local news, for free. The new layout is an improvement, hence the second star.

After this latest update, the app won’t open on my iPhone. I’ve tried deleting and reinstalling but still won’t open
App stopped working

It used to be a great app but stopped working a few weeks ago. I reset my phone and reloaded the app several times. I contacted customer service and they stated someone from IT would look into it. Haven’t heard back. All other apps work so started reading the NYT instead.
No Longer Useful

I used to rely on MLive for local news and was happy to see the app updated with a modern interface. However, the app update removed the search feature as well as the ability to save articles. Most frustrating is that more and more of the articles are “Subscriber Exclusive” which is code for “pay for our articles that have misleading headlines, endless typos, and unbelievably poor grammar.” Ummm, no thanks. I’ll get my local news for free from any number of the other ad-supported apps that are available.
Inconsistent. Don’t know what their purpose is.

They range from solid local news to bold face spinning omitting truths from reality. These aren’t journalists, they are writers who are having fun spinning an agenda that demonstrates an irresponsible lack of broad intelligence. If you like to be told what to think, Mlive is for you. You will not get 2-sided neutral stories. Op-Ed is dead. It is now called News/truth.
Anything worth while is paid subscriber content

This is a bad business model. I’ve deleted the app and I’ll probably never return. You’re killing your own business. Congrats.
Trying to monetize

I can understand asking for support. This site is not worth $99/year. Content is too heavy on sports. There is not a good way to filter just the type of content for your interests.
