Reviews

Assignments Tab Needed
VHouse28

My residency program uses custom assignments function on the website to tailor questions to each resident based on what rotation a resident is on. But the app itself does not have anyway to access these assignments. Would be great if this function could be added to eliminate the need to sign in on the browser. Otherwise an excellent port of this content to iOS.

Font size
Smartreviews

I hope this is just an oversight and that it can be easily fixed with an update but, there is no way to increase the font size. I’ve own previous versions ie 17 and font size adjustment was available, I ask you to please add that feature, when you are more than 50 like me, that feature is a lifesaver. Also, I wish a highlighting feature was available, just like MedStudy does. Thank you, I hope you can fix it.

Needs work - has bugs.
Alton Doody

I hope the developer reads this because there is no in- app ability to actually contact them and the link to the website is for him MKSAP 17. Mostly works well although on the "recently reviewed" page The text titles were left blank. The worst and most annoying thing is that you cannot save multiple notes. The most I can save us two notes and when I try to save a third it deletes one of the others. Please fix. Addendum - After version 1.2.1 today, it won't open at all.

Good app with room to grow
Dude-e

Good design and easy to use. Liked how the tables, images and questions are integrated into the text. Dark mode is appreciated, too. Suggestions: if possible, please add the ability to highlight text in the book or questions. Changing fonts would be nice, too.

No highlighting, no screen split. Do not recommend. Bad ebook features.
rabinovich2006

Good app, with all fancy features, but without a basic and fundamental ebook qualities such as text highlight and inability to use spilt app and write notes in the same time. Would not recommend digital version, very difficult to read and not taking notes and not highlighting text. Constantly feeling like holding my self from not highlighting. Feels like ebook from 1999. If it is about copy right, you can copy paste all text wherever you want but not screen split, no note taking or highlighting... Needs a lot of improvements in “ebook features”. Imaging buying a book but not being able to take notes in the same time. This guys have no idea about medical learning. Emailed support team 6 months ago, received polite response, with no improvements in reading experience in last update so decided to write critical review.

Still no highlighting capability
BobbGWhiz

Like others, why can’t you highlight text? This is available in other ebook formats. This is the single most glaring omission in digital MKSAP. Otherwise, it’s content is very good.

its buggy and not as smooth as mksap 17
the dood 9000

can you please just listen to feedback and add a highlighting tool its been way long overdue, mksap is by far the best content in its field just a shame crucial technicalities get in the way..

Just Okay
MichaelllllllZ

The app is okay overall. I have found that it does what it needs to do, but there are may problems. For one, there are no note taking functionalities within the app, which is actually okay because I prefer to take notes in a third party app, but what’s highly frustrating is that this app does not have split screen enabled for the iPad pro.. So I’m unable to read alongside as I take notes on my iPad. It is sort of mind boggling to me that, in 2019, this app doesn’t allow such a basic functionality. I would really like to see better functionality from this app in order to make it more useful as a study tool. It could honestly be so great, but instead, it’s just okay.
