Great Concept, but Hosts Need to Update Availability

I took me 5 days and dozens of requests to find a host in Manhattan who actually had availability needed.Two even waited 24 hrs to say "was available when you made request, but found [better][longer term] guest this AM, so going with them." Also, practice of charging credit card full cost of stay before reservation confirmed by host makes suggestion to make multiple requests to increase likelihood of getting Booking impractical. Theoretically site has wide variety of accommodations at reasonable prices with helpful hosts, but allowing hosts to pick and choose guests based on personal criteria can make finding nice accommodations difficult, especially since majority of requests expire before any response received from Host, sometimes because they did not see the request when first made.
