The app loves to stay frozen for a really long time after you play for a while and try to open it again later. Restarting the app doesn’t help. It starts working again when it feels like it.

This game was awesome but now there’s a ton of bugs-most importantly that the game won’t load to play. All it does now is load the last game you played (that’s over now) and you can’t start another game.

Commercials between every round. Option to pay annually but f that. I know that’s how “free” games work but I can’t be bothered. Played half a dozen rounds then deleted. Not worth it.

The game doesn’t accurately register press-and-hold to flag mines. 5 out of 10 games on Normal difficulty ended with attempting a firm, centered press-and-hold to flag a known mine, only for it to trigger and send the game immediately to an ad, which makes me suspect that this is intentional game design since ads are how developers profit from a free mobile game. It’s not an issue of my phone’s screen tap sensitivity as I have not had this problem with ANY other app or game, including other free Minesweeper games. I thought the top Apple Store comment (about having to tap multiple places on the screen to open up a section) was just someone who forgot that *sometimes* original Minesweeper had that problem on the first tap, or maybe a later tap to reveal more of the gameboard. But no, this is excessive. Out of 10 games on Normal difficulty, all 10 required 4-8 taps to open up a section to actually start playing. It’s annoying, but the real problem is how much that increases the chance of triggering a mine before you’re even started. Again, this is more excessive than any other Minesweeper iPhone game I’ve played. There are TONS of free Minesweeper ports in the Apple Store. Find another one. Don’t waste time downloading this one. Edit: To test my theory I immediately downloaded the next 3 Minesweeper games in the Apple Store- all played smoothly with none of the design flaws this game has.

I like the app, but the adds are too long. I don’t mind adds, but why are they so long and too frequent?

You lose a game at the beginning (randomly clicking to get started) and you get hit with a 30 second ad. You get unlucky a few times and you dont start playing for at least 3 mins.

The app freezes when I initially open it and I have to force quit it at least twice before it’s responsive again. On top of that, there are so many ads - as another review said, a lot of games are over quickly if you accidentally click a bomb too early, and after every loss you have to watch a long ad. Killing some time isn’t worth wasting half of it watching strange game ads.
