Never syncs (even though we pay for sync) and no support

I’ve reached out for support and never get an email back. Although we pay for the sync between our two phones, even when my wife and I sit next to each other, it never syncs the list. We have logged out and back in and the lists aren’t updated. Very frustrated their isn’t a manual sync option or a way to get this to sync between the phones. Also frustrating to pay for something that doesn’t work as designed.

Sharing sync is terrible

My wife and I have been using this for shared shopping lists. Works pretty well EXCEPT the syncing between our devices is terrible. Almost every trip to the store items don’t get purchased because they don’t show up in the other’s list. It can take hours or days to update. We’ve tried closing the app and reopening, ever restarting phones and there is no reliable solution. Might be fine for 1 user lists with no need to share. Worthless and frustrating for sharing.

I’ve used this app for a couple of years and love it. It syncs with my phone, desktop computer and tablet. I can’t go shopping unless I have this app handy.

With a shopping app you have to commit to putting all you items in the lists. It takes a long time so you’re then stuck with some features you don’t like. This one seems to be the best in the bunch but here are the down sides: 1) syncing with another family member is extremely slow and random, even though you have to pay for it. 2) there is no option to turn off screen lock while using the app so while you’re walking up and down aisles, your phone will turn off. I’ve tried contacting the developer on these issues to no avail.

Update 12.4.1 - Aisle order is not working any more. The aisle layout is correct but as you make your list it does not put items in the default aisle order. Please fix.

Milk for Us works well as a stand-alone app. We paid for the synchronized version, and the synchronization does not work well. I usually have to sign out and then sign back in to force synchronization. It would be nice if the app had synchronize button to initiate synchronization without the need to sign off and back on.

This App is really great and worth the subscription price to be able to share ie with a spouse. Either person can add or mark it off the list if they happen to think of something that is needed

This is the grocery app you've been looking for. In one word; perfect. This app is so much better than every other grocery app out there. I've tried quite a few. Problems with all other apps: They are either laden with ads or "coupons", clunky and slow, too generic for effective grocery shopping, don't support sync, loaded with terrible UI that tries to simulate the look of a physical paper shopping list, no watch support, or various combinations of the above. This app fixes all of that!!! If this app doesn't become the #1 grocery shopping app, then the App Store is truly broken. I love that it’s been updated for the iPhone X!

“Milk for Us” - I love it and use it daily. I’m a Groceries & Groceries4 convert (no longer available). I looked hard to find a good shopping app. After working with an App and tailoring the database it’s difficult to change. I’ve now used “Milk for Us” for 9+ months. It’s quick, basic and simple to use. It has all basic needs and abilities for shopping items, also easily modifiable. It also has a “note” field which can be used for various comments and/or item quantity wanted. It also allows you to strike through completed items as you shop, then delete when you want to declutter the list. Nice App for those who just want an easy app to use without all the pictures, prices and etc. Also shareable with family members or send via text or email.
