More of an homage than a successor

As a diehard fan of this series I flipped when I saw this in the AppStore—and while it scratches that itch, the game feels a little smaller than its predecessors. There's no real competition since the only score is whether or not a level is completed with no deaths, controls are now one-touch and make the game feel a little dumbed-down even if they're still as precise as ever, there are no longer any hidden items to find for the same reason, and perhaps most disappointingly of all, there's only one music track. Nonetheless the devs get my money because the Mikey Shorts series has always been worth far more than the asking price for me.

Disappointment to the Max

As weird as it seems, the Mikey franchise is my personal favorite series of games on the App Store. The first two games are masterpieces for what they are, and Boots was pretty fun too. Though, Boots was a bit underwhelming. The lack of any story was a little sad and the difficulty felt cheap at times, the original idea for the game I feel is the best yet, being able to fly and dodge obstacles felt great. After letting it sit I'd probably give it a 7 or 8 out of 10. Then Mikey Jumps shows up and ruins it. Let's start from the beginning. No story again, not even an opening cutscene like in Boots. The first two games were vague but gave enough info for you to know what's going on.

Awesome! I can't believe this isn't the #1 game in the App Store. A free game where the adds are so short and so infrequent that I don't even notice them. The game play is so precise, when you fail you know it's on you and not because the game glitched. If you are a fan of old school platform games you've got to check this out. Great job to the creators of this game! I'm going to purchase the extra lives to show my support even though I don't need them. Thanx for creating such an enjoyable game! ??

I've played all Mikey Games, this is the 1sttime it's free, and is made up for by in game Ads, no-one likes them, but they are tolerable. The game is about tapping or releasing the screen at the correct time. It's a one tapper, levels are quick and simple so it more of a time wasting game than anything in depth.. the Apple TV version makes use of the remote and game controller, yet the iOS Version (iPad/iPhone) does not.. so transitioning from one to the other fragments the experience, however it's still great fun.. Get rid of the Ad system & implement a consistent control scheme, it would be 5 stars.

I downloaded this game a few days ago and fell in love, then hooked two of my friends into it as well. Currently I'm on level 18 and there's a competition going on between the three of us. The only complaint I have would be having to purchase the six hearts. It seems like once the levels get harder you really can't beat them without six hearts (that's the point, I know) and I think you should instead have the option to purchase more coins, which you can then use to buy three additional hearts rather than actual money. Other than that, this is my favorite game. Thanks!!!
