Why must I "restore" every time I pull it up?

Clunky controls aside, this app has been demanding that I restore my purchases every single time I pull it up. Why? And why hasn't this been fixed? From what I can tell, it hasn't been updated in something like a year...?

Bought this thinking it would be fun but I can't see anything on it on my 6 Plus phone...controls are meh. I wouldn't waste my cash on it.
