MicSwap Pro Microphone Modeler Reviews

I have experience with a few of the microphones in this app, particularly the Royer ribbon, and I'm really impressed how well it captures the sonic signature. I want more models and more flexibility in using two mics at once in classic stereo micing techniques like mid-side and more ability to move the microphone in the space.

I don't know how they did it, but this thing really works! Definitely worth the $20. I don't have to go crazy adding all these plugins trying to make my voice sound professional with the cheap mic I have. This made my job easier. Now, I can't record without it. Using it with an iPad Pro and Cubasis app, works flawlessly! Good job guys! Maybe on a future update you can add like a more closed in vocal booth.

The sound of each mic is crisp, clear and definitely worth your while. As a vocalist the ability yo switch between different mics is like trying on a new lipstick to your voice or rotating a new audio engineer each session. The Pro version is definitely for me, but make sure you have an IOS sound adapter, the quality of it will as well play a part in the final recording. What would make this the perfect app? 1.- basic audio hiss and background sound removal. This will make each recording made with the device built-in mic dreamy, giving an opportunity to casual users to take advantage of the app and thus encouraging in-app purchases. 2.- Built-in cloud storage sound importer from major players (G-drive, box, dropbox, et). While you can do it and the app even gives you instructions how to achieve this, it would be better if it could be done without leaving the app nor switching apps. Thanks Julia

Voice memos no more!

Apple's old voice memos used to be great and this app brings back it's best parts. Then it goes so much further and wins the phone recording game. When I use it with my external mic it really brings out the crisp sonic characteristics of each mic. It's crazy..it's so awesome how well it works. Love this app ??????

The customer service for this amazing app is second to NONE! I've had perhaps 3 or 4 questions pertaining to it..(Levels, rooms, etc) since there is no manual.. Doesn't really need one actually. The app is pretty simple to use.. But EVERY question gets answered by Gary himself within hours.. Unbelievable, really.. Twenty bucks well spent. Also besides the great sound the graphics are off the hook! First class all the way..

If you are like me, back in the days of Classic Protools (before Avid) there was a plugin call Mic Mod that let you have any Mic Brand style and quality with your cheap one. It was amazing. Using that plugin transform your horrible cheap mic into a $2,000 priced Studio Newman 970 gold edition. Well... this app/adapter/plugin will do that again... but better!

This is a nice app to have in your iPad arsenal. My only issue is that it doesn't rotate to landscape mode making it inconvenient when using Audiobus and bouncing between apps.

I waited and waited for this app to be produced in the early days of the iPhone. Now that it's here, I can't do any music without it. Even newbies can manufacture a decent sound with this. ( I didn't say it could make you sing better, but even your wrong notes will sound listeningable)....yeah I know my word to describe it. The cool thing about it is I've spoken with Gary (The Creator) several times and he's a great guy who has put together a thoughtful, productive app. Thank you. and keep it up. I know you'll make changes in the future, but hey it's still great as is.
