Won't work offline!

PeterB26

This app requires that you stay signed in online. If you switch to airplane mode or are without internet connections you can continue to edit the DOC -IF- you had it open and were editing it when you went offline. But as soon as you close this app or open and use another app it locks up and won't work again until you sign in again. If you have no internet you are out of luck. I specifically need a word processor that I can use when I'm in remote places where connectivity is spotty at best and often non-existent making this app useless to me.

Deletes Documents

yoda121

Used to work great, however, lately it completely deletes the contents of the file when I open it then auto saves it which causes me to lose the entire document immediately. Absolutely terrible.

Problem with app

Since the most recent update I have not been able to send document to any other app. The app just shuts down and divert back to home screen.

Great BUT major upgrades needed.

AnnieAldag

Everything about Word for iPad is great except that it does not allow you to do split-view between TWO Word Docs — as Apple Note App or GoodNotes 5 would. And the saving feature is a tad confusing to users, I ended up saving five different docs of the same work file. “Recents” feature is gimmicky. I would change my rating to a five if Microsoft at least allow split-view between two Word Docs.

Make them more simpler please it’s very confusing but I appreciate the effort

Unable to edit or save documents

Minyo PomPom

While I was initially very excited to see Microsoft Word available for my iPad, I was immediately disappointed when I found I could not edit or even save copies of documents without a subscription. The mobile layout is also needlessly complicated. Very disappointed and won’t be using this app anytime soon.

Having access to Microsoft word on my iPhone makes life a whole lot easier and then I’ll most probably use word to dictate and now I have access toWord24/7
