No edit possible with iPad Pro!

I can not believe I moved from an iPad to na iPad Pro and Microsoft disabled edition. Now I have to pay a monthly subscription if I want edit my word files. It’s only for personal use and Microsoft is treating iPad Pro users differently. Sandy day for me I have to move from office to another solution.

I just tried using ms word and it will not let me edit even though my subscription is up to date. This is very frustrating as it happens repeatedly without warning!
Dysfunctional integration with OneDrive

Regularly need to sign in with Microsoft and OneDrive to even save a document. Not clear why it cannot save login credentials.

Word tries to be helpful but I just lost my day's work on a new paper. it just doesn't exist anymore and maybe half the time it for no apparent reason deletes a line and adds more spaces than necessary. Why? forgoodnessandtruthsake
