I having been working on a writing a book, and when I opened up my WORD doc this morning, my recent addition to the script is gone. I had trouble with the app yesterday when it wouldn’t open giving me a connected to a different server message. How do I retrieve my lost work?

I use this app on my iPad for essays and school assignments. I have the iPad Pro 2020 11 inch, so currently the most recent iPad Pro. This thing is a beast and can handle anything. I also use the Grammarly keyboard extension, the magic keyboard, and tend to have another app in the multitasking bar pretty often. All of this on any other app doesn’t lag and I don’t experience any issues. But on word I find that the app, after around 2 pages of writing, will start to lag and take a long time to load after I type. I prefer word over things like google docs and pages because word has a more professional feel and has more formatting options. So hopefully word fixes this issue but if it’s just apple making Microsoft apps lag out of spite then oh well guess I’m screwed lol.
