This is a really good handwriting app. You should purchase a stylus like the Jot script or equivalent to get the most out of the experience. Been using the app for about a year now and they continue to improve the user interface. It's not perfect but you continue to try to improve it. The options to capture handwriting or type or convert handwriting into text make the app nimble. For some reason the dictation doesn't operate in this app, which is a shame. Writing and typing into this app does take some practice understanding what the app recognizes and how to maneuver back-and-forth between different functions. Taking notes while you're researching can become really comprehensive with this being able to add PDFs, pics, links from the web. I have read 30 page scholarly articles, in pdf and highlighted and written on the document. Again takes practice using this app you shouldn't purchase it to go sit in a business meeting or lecture the next day thinking you're going to be a champ.

My school purchased another note taking app for me, but I love this app better. Many of my students also choose to used this app over the district purchased app. It is very user friendly.

This is and has been my go to note taking and document mark-up application. I use across three different platforms (laptop, tablet and phone. Is I understand it research has shown that retention using written vs. typed formats is higher. And I have proven it to myself.

I use this to import pdf files and then write notes or highlight on them. I can create files and add pictures. I can draw on blank pages or on imported pictures. I can put text boxes anywhere and control the font type and size as well as color. The drawing mode can be wide or thin and different colors and opacities. I import applications to be filled out as pdf files and then put text boxes over the blank lines and then I can change to drawing mode at the end and sign my name before sending it either to the printer or saving it as a picture and e-mailing or faxing it through a separate faxing app. Viola!! A legible application! If you have the information stored on your device you can copy and paste into the text boxes too.

Being a graduate student, I have been using iPad to take classroom notes for a couple of years. I have used Notability, Noteshelf, Notes plus and good notes. However, MetaMoji note is the best. It has the smoothness of Noteshelf, the features of Notability, and the neatness/features of Notesplus. It would be awesome if they add iCloud sync and split screen functionality. Even without that, this is hands down the best note taking app I have used.

Almost perfect app, but there is room for improviments

Best note taking app, no doubt about it, but somethings can be much better. For example, even with plenty room available for displaying files names, the app crops it making very hard to identify files with large names. It crops the long names also when exporting. Despite the design/layout being minimalist, as I think it should be, I'm pretty sure the team that made so useful app like this can do more for the app design. The cloud works perfectly, even if you use the app both on iOS and another OS like I do.

No support for Apple Pencil and Multitasking

I use this app every single day. I use it at work to keep notes on orders and stock and customer requests. I also design and teach jewelry making and I use MetaMoji to create my instruction packets. I use my own photos and also diagrams I design using the shapes and drawing tools provided in the app. My only wish would be for more shapes to represent different beads and/or a way to truly combine or merge the shapes,i.e. an outline around both shapes but not between them. But no points lost! As I said I LOVE this app!! I recommend it to everyone I know!! Really, really!!❤️

I'm amazed that this app doesn't get that many reviews, it's awesome. Try the lite version first, then you can buy the full version. Has an app for iPhone and iPad, plus Windows, great everywhere.
