I love the idea behind this app, but it leaves MUCH to be desired. Not very user friendly and graphics are rather pitiful. In addition, it seemed as though there were buttons that didn't work. Either that or it is even more poorly designed than I think. I would have expected much more from such a costly app. My recommendation to anyone looking to buy it is don't waste your money. :/. But we still love Awana!! Just not this app...

We used an APP for Cubbies and I definitely went looking for one when we moved to Sparks. I did have to set it up, which took a little bit to figure out (then I realized it is setup to help the teachers keep up with points). Once up and going we were off to the races. The first week we were half way through the first section, saying 5 verses! We say 4 to 5 verses each week, and my son can use the iPad to play the songs or just hear the verse. We also do it together each night reviewing next week's. We love to come home Wednesday nights and mark verses as memorized as it shows progress and keeps us on track. The previous review talked about the graphics - there aren't any! Perfect for us we are learning God's word not playing video games. I have recommended this app to many people in our club and our leadership. Watching the children learn is amazing and most of all they retain it!
Great Except-

The app is great for helping to memorize the verses, but on the section where you can hear a song for the verses or a man saying the verse, the volume goes down real low. I checked and the volume on my phone is all the way up, and on the beginning where they are singing the Sparks song the volume is normal. It makes it really hard to learn the verse song with the volume issue. I tried uninstalling the app and reinstalling it, and even creating a different user but nothing has helped. By the way it USED to work fine. I didn't use the app for a while because we moved, then we got back into AWANA and the volume thing happened. :(

I bought this app to help my daughter with review of the verses each week, and she was doing great. She loved the songs it offers and learned them quickly each week, but the most recent updates have taken the volume from my speaker into my earpiece so you are unable to hear what is being said unless you hold the phone to your ear. It makes it difficult to use, and sad because we were almost done with the book before this happened. I've tried several ways around it, like adding a Bluetooth speaker, or connecting it to my car, but it hasn't worked. I would have highly recommended (which i did) in the past, but now, unless something is fixed, I may not get next years version either. I really hate writing reviews like this, but I just wish it would be fixed. Thanks.
Can't Open App

I purchased the HangGlider Bundle and the Memory-HG opens and closes right away. The other app works fine. I have tried every method of troubleshooting short of resetting my device to factory settings to no avail.
