Can’t post anything but I can collect memes like a harvester! So far I like it but I won’t raise my rating until I can start posting my own memes.

I’m a huge fan of Memecenter, been on the site since the ragefaces and Nyan Cat were still relevant. It’s a pretty good community, and a lot of the original content on there is great. The app itself is fine, and does everything you’d want it to, even if the interface is a little bland (perhaps various app icons could be altered to more closely resemble the original website). The only real issue I have is that the ads on the mobile site are so completely intolerable that you HAVE to use this app if you aren’t surfing on your computer. Seriously, you’ll just be browsing on the mobile site, go to the next page, and suddenly a self-opening pop-up shows up which refuses to let you go back. Especially frustrating when you’re catching up on multiple days of memes and lose all your progress because you have to close the tab and reopen. I know it’s kind of unfair to take a star off the review because the mobile site is bad, but they seriously need to fix that nonsense. Besides, I feel a five-star review implies an app is completely necessary, and this one is only really good if you already like Memecenter. If you’re just getting into memes and reddit seems too hostile, Memecenter is a great intro. OC aside, it’s also kind of a “best-of” of the rest of the internet, with a good sense of personal identity and far less cancer than 9gag. I’m not saying it’s perfect (some of the racist memes aren’t obvious enough with their irony to be undisturbing, and I’m not naive enough to say that some of them aren’t unironic, but that’s the fault of the memers, not the site/app itself), but it’s definitely my meme site of choice.
