Why?!

Rustyrayz

Why would you expand the screen to fill In on iPhone X but keep the controls laying on the screen? There’s no way to change it.

Love the game but need 2 major updates

ChicagoRealtor

I remember having this game as a kid and I loved it. I was thrilled when it came out on iOS. But I am wishing and hoping for 2 updates that would make this game awesome. 1) it need to allow the use of a gaming controller. Not a fan of the on screen controls. 2) make it compatible with Apple TV. If this would happen it would be a 5 star game.

Mega Man X for the iPhone

T-Rex The Discoking

This game brings back my memories of my younger years as a kid! I remember playing this game on the old Super Nintendo it was as fun as it was back then, however the original couldn’t save the Hadouken plus it took longer to get it and X’s eyes were blue in the picture when he was talking to Zero.

About the port

SpikeyTH16

These 1 star reviews are making me want to roast a reviewer and this is decent so you love it or hate it, it needs to be different like make make the game a port of Maverick Hunter X because Ghosts n’ Goblins: Gold Knights did the same thing but it was removed of the AppStore and I wish I could play that game. The auto charge doesn’t make you crippled because it is difficult to charge and jump at the same time. And this is a short review so here an advice to the haters: F‼️K OFF

Not for me

I’ve played Mega Man X for the Super NES & the GameCube, though this is essentially the exact same game it feels entirely different. I’ve found playing this version very annoying. This may just be a personal gripe of mine. If this is your first time experiencing this game you may enjoy it, but with my years of muscle memory dedicated to this game (very sad I know). I simply cannot enjoy this port over to the iPhone.

My First Mega Man Game!

MegaManFanForever

Hi! This (the app version only) is my first Mega Man game I played and I love it so much. I stumbled upon it not long after I dubbed myself a fan and was so happy! I've played through about four or five times and gone to visit the final boss many more. Mega Man is, by far, the best character I've ever met, and his futuristic brother X is no less! This game is totally worth the $4.99, and I fully recommend it to everyone; old fans and new fans. (Note: the footholds in Easy mode were really handy, as I was a new player) The game has polished graphics and smooth gameplay, and I don't have too many problems with difficulty, gameplay, glitches, etc. The Hadoken is a bit tricky to use at first, but it's handy once you get it mastered, as you can defeat Sigma's first form with one hit. What's funny is that I found the Helmet Upgrade on total accident: I fell down the pit and thought I was doomed. I only wish that X had more dialogue..! I love the introduction screen (like how you used some of the original art), and also how you use the original music. Zero is awesome sauce, and I almost cried at his scene when he gives you his buster. I've seen this request quite a few times, but it would certainly be fun if you could play through the game as Zero. (Long live the long hair!) This next request would just be for fun: I would like it if X could blink, and if there was a little bubble at the side of the screen that showed his expression, which depended on his health. Just for a little iOS treat. And since I don't have Game Center, I would like to be able to view my achievements, just for the fun of getting them. I also look forward to seeing Axl on the App Store, along with MMX2, MMX3, and so on. Something that would be neat to have as an app would be Mega Man Power Fighters, with Mega Man, Proto Man, Bass, and Duo, and even better, X, Zero, and Axl as playable characters. Overall, this game is awesome, and I recommend it for everyone. Capcom did a great job on it and kept their characters meaningful and their gameplay intact. Thanks to all you Reploids! -MegaManFanForever, running and gunning, and Maverick Hunting P.S, I've played the original version of MMX2 by now, so I based off some notes in my reviews off what I know about its graphics. UPDATE: *January 5th* I’m editing my review because now I own the Mega Man X app on a new iPad (which is a bit more upgraded than my last one), and I’ve already completed Normal Mode and Hard Mode. I still love it as much as ever, but I’m actually noticing something. When I began a new game (on Normal and Hard), I began getting achievements (“Tough Guy”, “Prince of the Skies”, “Rogue Hunter”, ect) but not long after poaying through, almost every time I got an achievement it also showed the “Eight of Hearts” achievement, saying I got the eighth Heart Container. Even before I actually got it. I even finished the game, got the end-of-game achievements and such, and it still said I got the “Eight of Hearts” achievement. It’s not harming my gameplay whatsoever, but I feel like I should mention it for mentioning’s sake.. And I also accidentally managed to get Dr. Light’s theme song playing beyond when it should have been (after getting the Hadoken), but I like it so it’s not a problem. For any further changes, I’ve played the original Mega Man X and noticed the meaning of stage changes (Flame Mammoth’s stage freezing, Sting Chameleon’s stage flooding, Spark Mandrill’s home getting destroyed) which would be super cool. But that’s about it. Still looking forward to the rest of the MMX series on the App Store!

From snes to iOS

Since this is not the original game it can never have a perfect score. Capcom please take off the automatic wall grab that X does this makes the mechanics more difficult. Also beating a boss alters other stages afterwards. This version does not allow it. Capcom fix this too please. I doubt the secret Hadouken is in this version. Overall this game is cool jst difficult to play at some points

I love his game but...

I was so excited to see this game on iPhone. It brings back so many memories of my child hood BUT the only reason I don’t give this a 5 star is because of the controls. There is so much blue screen on each side that u could put the controls to the sides. The controls basically make it impossible to see where I’m at or the bosses of each level are at. Gets omg the way. And maybe it’s me but it doesn’t seem to have good control response.

Just... Wow.

This was amazing! Capcom put this game into app form with a nearly seamless transition! It’s an updated form of the SNES game with options for difficulty levels, in game purchases, and more cool updates. All I need now is for x2 and X3 to move to mobile and I will have the original trilogy on my phone! Please, capcom, make the trilogy complete!

Too Awesome!!
