I would’ve written the company directly about this instead of a public review, but there doesn’t seem to be a way to do that on the site. The major problem with not letting you see the persons profile who’s just ‘liked you’, until we send you money, is simply this. We don’t know you. You are asking us to trust that this is not a fake profile, baiting us to send you money before we can see their profile. I hope you can see how this is a MAJOR problem. People’s emotions have been so abused online in general, by taking advantage of a vulnerabilities for false promises of something in return. So by doing this, you’re saying, just trust us, she (or he) is real...and wants to talk to you...so just send us money...but no guarantees. So simple to send a fake profile and collect money from people. A really, really big oversight, especially for a mindfulness based platform.

This app is a serious disappointment and waste of money. As a premium member i cant relay the countless times I was recommended individuals I repeatedly declined and suggested individuals in opposition to my preferences. It begs the question how mindful the algorithm is that energizes the selections. Great concept, disappointing results, not fit for recommendation.

I really like the great ideas within this app!! BUT I purchased one a 1 week subscription..... I still cannot send chat messages to people! Checked my bank account.... the company charged for it immediately but I DO NOT have access as promised. And it’s nearly impossible to find a customer service contact number!!!! I’m super frustrated with them at the moment!!! MeetMindful please find me and resolve this problem! I have already put too much of my precious time into figuring this out with no resolution! I paid so help me fix this! Please!!!

I get why these apps have premium options but I feel like you should at least be able to access the browse feature. Since you only get 10 swipes a day and so many people use the app, you should at least be able to narrow down the scope a little bit since you can’t view who liked you either.

MM’s app is decent, but the problem is that many profiles are old, inactive member. A couple years back, I heard “dating guru/life coach” Evan Pagan had with other VCs invested several million in MM. That changed the platform to what is with today’s pricing structure and the free vs. premium memberships. So much of the strategy and mindset is to go for “clients” willing to “invest in themselves” at a higher premium price. Problem is, why would anyone be baited into a Premium membership if one doesn’t have enough time to discern the value? The current structure of handing you ten matches a day without being able to communicate with them unless they “match” with you is hit or miss. A full access three or one week trial, though mimicking Match and other OLD sites, is risky to MM and their VCs, but how else can one really assess a potential Purchase/investment if you can’t take it for a test ride to see what’s really under the hood? Sure, MM is doing a good job at targeting its niche clients (smarter, spiritual singles), but these same potential clients are also more discerning about plunking down their credit card without MM showing more value.

What a joke! I was baffled I was not hearing from anyone, other than 1 person who then never responded? I would then make the first move (HA!) and respond with the “Heart” offered for showing I was interested. No responses, not one. So, I would wait a couple days and if no respond I would want to delete the profile out of my “like” box. The only way to accomplish this is by going directly to the profile and “blocking” the profile. To be gone forever. What I discovered was I was not receiving responses because the profile no longer existed. Not one of the profiles I initiated contact with was working. FAKE? Placed by Mindful Meetup? Cancelled membership like I will be doing and keeping up profiles? There’s very few people in this site. It’s obvious why! The 10 profiles received in your box are recirculating with the same people regularly. And, majority of profiles do not meet my requirements I set up on my profile of what I was looking for. It’s very disappointing as it’s a brilliant idea. Very disappointing too with a business that claims to be mindful and based in Boulder, CO. Management and owners of Meet Mindful do the ethical and right thing and give your paying clients full refunds. Your profiles are not up to date and it’s clearly unethical to have your paying clients trying to res h out to potential people who ARE NOT EVEN ON THE SITE. I took it personally that it was ME. Shame on management ! FULL REFUND IS DUE IMMEDIATELY.

MeetMindful is a great idea, poorly executed. Oftentimes, when you open the app, it freezes on the icon screen. i.e. It never opens. And that’s normal for this app. I sent several messages to several different people, all of which still said “Unread” after a week. “Must just be me,” I laughed. But then I found one of the people I had messaged on MeetMindful, this time on OK Cupid. And guess what? She never got my MeetMindful message! It didn’t even appear in her profile. The website is terrible too. The Help/FAQ page opens to a blank page. I’ve tried reloading several times, with different browsers and on different platforms: nothing. In other words, there’s no customer support at MeetMindful. Many other issues, with both app and website, too numerous - and frustrating! - to take (i.e. waste) the time to name here. Where is the CTO?! There are serious glitches in their software. Don’t waste your time. “Single is a terrible thing to waste.”

Free Apps Are Better- Don’t waste your money

Worst dating app ever. The free ones are better. Not enough real people, waaaay too many scammers and not hardly any real “mindful” people. I actually paid for a subscription biggest waste of money ever. When I search for only people who have paid for a subscription - zero matches. And now my daily matches are zero. And my preferences are next to nothing, lol. Not enough people on the service to be worth anything.
