I’ve been using Medly collectively over the past 7 months (started in February of 2020). I have been kinda just messing around and trying to get something working. I made a full song in Medly too (it’s like a little over four minutes long). As of now, I have no problem and I absolutely love this app. Keep up the good work!!

Good Game, but needs improvements.

I like this app SO MUCH, and so does my younger brother and my older sister. There is one thing that ruins my experiences though: THE SOUND CHIPS. I like the starter pack, but stuff like Arcade and Hip-Hop sound AMAZING, but aside from Chip, Bright, the pianos, EDM, Deep, and Cross, The starter pack looks lame. I mean, those are the only music types that catch my interest. and in all, the only thing that would make this app EVEN COOLER for me to rate it 5 stars (⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) is... To have the user pick which 2 OTHER sound chips other than Starter to have. They have 6 options: Arcade, Christmas, Jazz, Upside-Down, Pop, and Festival. If you do this then I will go 5 stars. And also, for the REST of the tracks you can do the $35. And I did NOT request Halloween because I am a Christian.

Publish!!

Galen Scensk

This is a great song making app, but I think there should be a way to publish and see the works of others. Maybe making great music can be a way to buy specific sounds permanently without money!

Could you add a notes per second counter just for the heck of it?

Love this app, here’s my suggestions.

Alexando

I use this app regularly and love it. There’s a few things I’ve noticed that I’d like to suggest in case the devs read and consider these reviews. 1. I’d love a wider variety of “darker” sounds, particularly for the guitars. Everything is really upbeat and happy sounding, which isn’t bad (it suits most of the EDM stuff this was designed for pretty well) but I feel as if it could benefit from a broader emotional spectrum. A “metal” and/or a “blues” setting that’s similar to the “rock” setting might be appropriate there. 2. IMHO the pizzicato violin is the worst sound in the sets, I’ve been trying to use it but it’s kind of cringe which is unfortunate since I’ve liked the rest of the classical set. 3. A way to do glissando would be really nice and might not clutter up the UI too much if done well, such as with a tap and hold setting on a series of notes. Similarly, a way to do really short notes such as grace notes or ornamentals would also add a lot to the app. I was imagining this might work with a UI if you tap and hold a short note that precedes another note. 4. More time signature options wouldn’t hurt, although you can always just force them by writing it in manually, it wouldn’t hurt to have more coded options.

So anyways, since i don’t have money for fl studio or ableton, i found this app and its amazing. Even though i dont have money for the membership, just one pack is amazing. I don’t usually write reviews but i wrote this review for one thing. It might sound beggary, but have you considered making another pack for free so you have two free music packs to work with? Its ok if you can’t but with just one pack it feels just a tad bit limited. Just making another music pack free would be a huge change. If you can, then definitely make another pack free.
