▪ Some examples of how roots, prefixes and suffixes combine to form a medical term

arthr- + -o- + logy = arthrology
arthr- + itis = arthritis
eryth- +o+ cyte = erythrocyte

■ There are a few general rules about how they combine
- The -o- almost always acts as a joint-stem to connect two consonantal roots.
- The -o- is dropped when connecting to a vowel-stem

Solid app but broken features

Content is thorough and easy-to-read design. I downloaded for supplementing my 1st year medical school anatomy course, and it’s exactly what I was looking for. Roots/prefixes/suffixes are organized with their meaning, and they also hyperlink you to medically relevant words upon clicking on the word element. Only downside I’ve encountered so far is the broken search feature (which is why I gave 4 stars), though the app is still easy to navigate with alphabetized content. Likely just needs a quick update to fix, since the current version is over a year old...
