I work full-time, have a long commute, but want to cook healthy food every night for my husband and two kids. Finding this app has helped me stay organized with meal plans and groceries and keeps my family full!

After using different apps for meal planning we found MealBoard 8 years ago. So easy to use! Importing recipes or entering my own recipes is super easy and quick. There’s only two of us and scaling recipes to avoid leftovers is great, albeit occasionally getting crazy fractions which mess with hubby trying to figure out 11/16 of a Tbs, haha! He has the app on his phone too and logs in to our account so he can work on something at the same time. We plan meals out for a month at a time but buy for 10 days at a time. We really don’t use the pantry / in-stock feature, since we have a small enough pantry that we are aware of what we have. The shopping list generates what is needed and I quickly check off what I know we have already. We had been using a list making app for years (from iPod touch days) and had so many custom items entered into it, that once the shopping list is generated and what we have is checked off, we can quickly add the rest to that list (it also works on my watch). We even plan camping meals with MealBoard. On a canoe camping trip with us, my cousin took photos of me cooking meals with my trusty phone sitting on a rock with my MealBoard recipes on it. I also use it to combine recipes to make what I want, when I can’t find a recipe for what I envisioned. Especially for a 3 quart instant pot. If I get stuck or need to ask a question or find a weird bug, the app developer, Ray Bernardo is SUPER responsive. One of these days I may even convince him to add purple in as one of the colour choices. (Please Ray Please)

This is a great app for a flat fee. Why pay a subscription for this kind of app? I’d give it 5 stars if they ironed out some annoying, but ultimately inconsequential, bugs. For example, when you’re editing your meal plan it doesn’t always remember that you’ve selected a category of meal or it’s placement on the plan. It works if you do it again though, so no big deal. Other than that, great app!

This app does everything I want. Look up and import recipes. Transfer ingredient list to shopping list. Awesome!
Needs Passbook integration
This is a great full featured app! I use it to stock the pantry correctly for meals in a large family. It works really well and the scan feature is really nice for data entry. The only thing I would request from the developer is can we get dark mode support for the UI? Great job putting this together!

I’ve looked at and tried many pantry/recipe apps but this one is absolutely tops in my book! From the ease of downloading recipes from other sites or letting me input my own, to the shopping list, to the menu planner, to the pantry organizer that lets me name the spaces the way I want to name them, to the ability to categorize my recipes to being able to record prices, stores and expiration dates; this app is just almost perfect for me. What is missing? The only thing I would like to see is a second location for pantry items. When I buy a case of diced tomatoes, some go in my kitchen pantry and others go into other pantry areas and I’d love to be able to note that. Otherwise, just fabulous!

Great Program - Great support. I frequently need things at the store and simply add to the shopping list in the app and don't have to worry about losing a list. Also if my wife prints out a recipe from anywhere I can usually use the import function to add that recipe and its ingredients to the shopping list in the app. I use this more than any other app.

I love this app! Helps us plan meals and shop efficiently, syncs across devices, and love how it imports online recipes. It’s my one stop for everything from planning to preparing.
