WiFi remote control for Windows Media center
Control your Windows Media Center with your iPhone, iPod or iPad!
- SETUP INSTRUCTIONS -
1. Download the MCE Remote Server application from http://gregoryfoster.com/products/mceremote.html
The 'Server Lite' version does not require an installation, you may just run the EXE from anywhere on your PC
The server app is required to run on your Windows media center PC. It is the application that listens to commands send from your Apple device then sends keep commands to Media Center.
This is a really good app, just what I was looking for. Remember to install the "server program" on your windows machine that you have media center installed on.
XP throws an Entry Point error message (specific to this server) on every boot after server for this app is installed. App won't control WMC. Server uninstalled, no more Entry Point error.
I have Windows 7 and it works with very minimal setup. Just make sure to restart computer after installing server software. Keep up the good work!
This is easier than I thought it would be. I like this app very much!
Fallowed the instructions on support. Only thing that works is the apps number pad. All other buttons fail at functioning.... Using 64 bit version
Tried this on windows 7 64-bit.. Did not work.. I then tried to uninstall it... The program left remnants..It messed up my wi-fi connection. I then tried using system restore and that started giving me an error. To me this program behaves like a virus. User/Buyer beware! I would rate this zero stars if possible.
When u instal the program on your computer it duplicates 20 times and acts like a virus. I have spent the last 2 hours deleting individual files and do not recommend this.
Takes a bit of setup, but works flawlessly afterwards. I recommend it if you like using the apple remote for your Apple TV. I wish there was a bit of customization available and I would love to know why it has a percentage gauge at the bottom.
