MATLAB Mobile is a lightweight desktop on your iOS device that connects to a MATLAB session running on the MathWorks Cloud or on your computer. From the convenience of your iOS device, you can create, edit and run MATLAB files, visualize data, and view results.

Note: Continued use of GPS running in the background can dramatically decrease battery life.
Limitations
MATLAB Mobile does not support:
• MATLAB Live Editor
• MATLAB apps, such as Curve Fitting or Signal Analysis
• Creating graphical user interfaces using App Designer or GUIDE
• Simulink® graphical environment, but the ‘sim’ command is supported at the MATLAB Mobile command line
• Interaction with 3D figures

Requirements
• iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch running iOS 8.0 or later
• One of the following MATLAB licenses:
- Professional or academic license for R2014a or later. Note: License should be current on MathWorks Software Maintenance Service.
- MATLAB Student or MATLAB and Simulink Student Suite R2014a or later
- MATLAB Home R2014a or later
- An active MATLAB Trial for R2016b
• MATLAB Support Package for Apple iOS Sensors (to send sensor data to a MATLAB session on your computer)
When connecting to your computer, MATLAB Mobile is intended for use behind a firewall on a private network. Virtual private network (VPN) use is recommended when used over the public Internet or via 3G/4G.

I got this warning: Warning: Support of character vectors and strings will be removed in a future release. Use sym objects to define differential equations instead. Can you keep this feature please, it’ll make it easier for other users
Works well but one issue

I used to have a problem loading live scripts but that seemed to go away since. The only reason I have it 4 stars is because if I have the app in the background for too long, it will disconnect. This forces me to wait to reconnect before using the app or just having to close the app entirely. If I didn’t have to reconnect every time after having the app in the background it would be perfect. Otherwise I really like the app.
Can’t share Files

This app takes up 100% of my screen time. Huge fan. Love matlab. I don’t even use my calculator anymore I just use matlab ???✈️?

When someone at the top at MathWorks decided to make sure that iPad users were able to use Matlab on their device, the Dev team also took the opportunity to put a fully functional Matlab command line on iOS. Sure, it’s not actually 100% fully functional but come on people it’s a smartphone and it’s wonderful. Keep up the good work!
Does not run on VPN

Will not connect to servers if I have a VPN running. VPN is a basic security layer that many user employ. Get with the program MathWorks.
App Crashes on Startup on VPN

App crashes immediately after I launch it on my iPad Pro. Have to run MATLAB on my Linux box and remote into it. This is unacceptable and considering not renewing my subscription because of this.
