First, this is a very good educational game, having lots of options to customize the type (addition, subtraction, multiplication, etc.) and difficulty of math problems. However, like nearly all others of this type, it misses out on its potential. Zombies walk toward the player as he/she solves math problems to convert them back to human. Static background and repetitive/slow action. While repetition in math can be good, it bores us quickly. Why not make a game where the kids can explore a world, and use math problems open treasures/health items that are somehow locked, and also to convert the zombies they encounter as they explore? Perhaps they might walk through a minute or more of gameplay without encountering an enemy, but this would keep it fresh so that the gamer does not know exactly what to expect. Also, the search for bonus items including power-ups would be more continually rewarding. The basic problem for all educational apps is they want pure, non-stop education rather than a mix of both. I would rather 50% less education, if my kids were glued to exploring the app for 150% more time. More importantly, it would associate a positive experience with math and other topics. Seems like I’m asking a lot, but this really would compete better with the mindless games that kids want for leisure while simultaneously accomplishing major objectives. And if there are players in such a category, someone point me in that direction!!! I’ll gladly throw balls of money in their direction! So if I can get a hundred mine crafts and other such games for free…why can’t I PAY good money for a good educational game? Give me a major update and I’ll update this review, bring lots of friends to the table, and help spread the word however else I can!

On two separate instances in The Addition of Evil the correct answer was provided but graded as incorrect. This is very disappointing as it is a paid game. I also disagree with the method of submitting answers to stop the zombies. Larger addition problems should be worked out from the last numbers to the first, but in the game kids only have the option to submit full answers. This is difficult because they can get lost. The boss battles are grueling and much too difficult.
