Matching is terrible. My setting say I am not interested in people that are divorced, people that are older than a certain age, etc. etc. but 85% of the proposed candidates are exactly that... I don’t see the point of setting my preferences at all. I haven’t liked one single person since I started.

No useful features for free

Profiles are sparse and do not allow you to give or get a sense of personality, and every feature that might actually be useful for getting to know someone is locked up behind the paywall. It may be that the subscriber service is great, but with so many excellent dating apps out there for free, I can't see how match.com expects to compete. Don't waste your time here -- use OKC or even Tinder instead.

Do I have to pay to see read and write msg ?

Hi Dear , I opened 3 days ago but I cannot access to see any msg , read and write too . Is it free application or have to pay ? Once I click emails or msg , pay page comes ..but I have seen in the movie that anyone can write n read without charges , please help me out .and I m sorry to giving u 1 star only .. Thank you

Women online are shallow..

I try decently to find a woman online but omg these women are so shallow. You could have a lot in common with someone and they will just read your message then not send you one... THERE ARE GOOD GUYS OUT THERE, YOU JUST GOTTA TRY AND TALK! :-/

I have had better results on tinder (I’m not sleeping around, I’m looking for a relationship) so that is kind of absurd but whatever.

The “matches” this site makes for me are guys who don’t fit my “must haves” or I don’t fit theirs. And almost all of the messages I receive are from men who don’t meet my “deal breakers”- the emails are filtered on the website but not the app. And many emails I receive are men accusing me of being paid to be on the site or a fake profile or upset that I am not interested- so many bitter men, and i can’t help but think it’s because the site has lead them to believe this, or doesn’t monitor the type of people who sign up. You don’t have this issue of harassing messages on other sides bc you can only message people when you mutually like each other. Also, I bought Top Spot and it says there are tens of thousands online right now, so I hit Top Spot, and it will say 250 men are seeing your profile, but it just shows me the same 5-10 profiles, multiple times. So basically, the same 10 guys are viewing my profile 10-20x...?!? Garbage!

No matter how many people you advertise are using Match, each time I search, I see the same faces and why are so many profiles allowed that do not have a profile picture?

Way too many options. Needs to be streamlined. You click on discover and then there’s like 4-5 options there. Seems like the process is just over complicated.

don't honor 6 month guarantee

match has worst customer service ever. They make it hard to find their phone number online and don't return emails. They don't honor the 6 month guarantee either. If you email them, an automated response will be sent that doesn’t address anything then they will either not respond or if they do they still don’t answer the question. If you somehow get a hold of them on the phone they do whatever they can to avoid honoring the guarantee
