Mastermind with pegs was always a great game. This game is as well since you can still play the same version but with harder options as well. Two things I would change to give it a 5 star rating. It would be great to play with others and I wish the directions explained the difference between sequence and timed because they are very similar.

The way colors and numbers are used makes the game different than other games. A game for loner thinker types who need a gentle challenge. App size is maintainable (so far) which is great for limited hard drive space.

Nice recreation of the board game I played many years ago when Mastermind first came out. I always enjoyed it then, and with this app I can do so again. Highly recommend.
Wish it had the option...

I wish there was the option to turn off the use of duplicate colors. I loved this game as a kid, and really wanted to like it for myself and for my kids, but they need an option to play without duplicate colors, and sometimes I want to play that way too.

But I think it has a bug in that at classic difficult level the white is never used. UPDATE looks like white is now showing. I don't know if this an Apple programming limitation or what but the odds of a yellow or white showing a pretty low so I use that to my advantage. UPDATE works great on ipad but buttons presses do no register on iphone se. Also you can’t play game on 2 different devices and keep your score. Hope I don’t have to factory reset!
