Cool comics, barely functional app

TDBFluff

The ui is buggy and incredibly finicky, and there are constantly parts of the ui that inexplicably become non-funtional. I cannot count the sheer amount of times the add to library and see all buttons flat out didn’t work. Not to mention the INABILITY to scroll through sections of the home page as entire sections of it become un-tappable. Absolutely absurd that one of the more accessible ways to access and get into comics is this unpolished app lacking both in features and BASIC FUNCTIONALITY.

Hardly Ever Works

Johann Jr.

Used to be great about 6 months ago. Did a major update that made it very unreliable. Move forward to next page and is blank. Go back a page and now it’s blank too. Every update makes it worse. I paid for a year and feel with the low reliability of the app I have definitely not gotten my money’s worth for the last several months. Oh and the update wiped my read history. Very tough to look stuff up to figure out where I was. They need to make it where comics in series are linked to where you get to the end and click and boom X-Force and then boom X-Men. Lot of work to read a cross titles type series.

service is nice, app a mess

Applrevlessthan30

It's disorganized, keeps pushing a terrible "infinity" format, and requires way too many taps to navigate. If either ios or the app gets an update, the app just stops working, showing no content, with no indication of why it doesn't work. I like the comics, so it feels like they're playing a game to see how bad they can make the app before I'll give up.

4.5/5

I have no problems with this app but two things. The inability to filter comics when finding them through the search feature is quite frustrating. And that the ability to filter your saved comics by read/unread was taken out other than that I love this app always reading something.Though at times saved comics feel jumbled and messy without the variety of filters.

SO GREAT

domiesspam

It’s just what I needed they have all the comics in one spot and you can zoom into the book itself and look at each detail

Needs improvement

Incredibly buggy. Frequently signs me out and doesn’t save reading lists from one version to the next.

Redesign is awful

CptHarkness

Devs keep promising fixes that don’t come. Updates list things that aren’t true. Features removed that now have to be “worked on”. Why were they in the app before then? Did they even test the redesign before forcing it on everyone? Update 12 14 21. Still awful after update. Search remains useless. Scrolling through series impossible chore now. Developer responds and ignores the complaints. Originally the comic list was text only w convenient jump to letter options. Now it is giant unwieldy pictures and good luck if you want something in the middle. Or just want to see if there’s something you want to read. They have broken, and ignored, app that worked perfectly fine for unnecessary and ill conceived updates that do not appear to benefit anyone based on reviews. Another update. Still the same new broken design. They refuse to listen. It was fine before they changed it. Another update and now continue reading is broken. Can we rate zero?

Great selection!

Amazing value. So many comics

Thankful for new updates

As a long time subscriber, I was very disappointed with the 7.1.0 update, but thankfully, the makers of this app are addressing some of the problems that many of us had. That said, I have several remaining suggestions: 1) Please show issue thumbnails in multiple rows and columns, instead of one long column. Currently the app has a lot of wasted space and requires too much scrolling. 2) Please fix Landscape viewing mode. A full-page landscape viewing mode (apart from Smart Panel mode) would be ideal for me. Also, rotating my screen leaves the page blurry for some reason. 3) In several places, “View Full Series” is buried under too many selections. Please move that option to the forefront. 4) Please return the alphabet side-scroller when browsing by series. Currently, it only preloads 1/26 of the library, and it takes forever to scroll to the bottom, making it unusable. 5) Please include more letters pages and house ads from old back issues. Thank you.

Horrible update

BUDGTR

Truly miss the old way of navigating series in more of a grid format rather than single thumbnails. It’s no longer as intuitive or fun to use.
