My favorite Marvel game by a long shot

I’m a diehard Marvel fan and I’ve never had as much fun playing a Marvel mobile game as this one! I have made some investment into the game but it’s not necessary to play (it helps with Blitz mode but it’s not needed). This is the ideal game to play when you don’t have a lot of time and it’s truly addictive.

Almost Perfect Game

This Card Game is by far the best app store game I ever played. I have spent money on this game to get more gems or unlocking better cards but the game isnt exactly pay to win because you get matched based on ranking. Pros: Animation, Card Styles, Variety, Daily Rewards and missions. Cons: Horde mode gives out the least rewards and takes the most of time so its not worth anyones time. Certain cards are straight up useless no one will ever choose to use them. In guilds the same card is always being requested and no one is willing to give them up because there such valued cards.

When I first found out about this game, I wasn’t sure what to expect. As a fan of card games, you’ll frequently see mechanics repeated across different games. Battle Lines has a unique system where you place cards onto a 4x3 grid, and attempt to make a horizontal, vertical, or diagonal lineup in order to do damage to your enemy. Cards come in two types: Characters (which you can play once a turn), and Actions (which can be used each once a game). Cards have a resource cost, which can be replenished by playing a Character into a space on the grid that has one or more Resource points available. There’s a surprising amount of strategy in this game, where you attempt to balance the cost of the cards against their strength, and try to outmaneuver your opponent for positions on the board. With both PvE and PvP challenges available, the game allows for a lot of varying skill levels. Generally, the amount of micro transactions seems reasonable for what is gained, as their is no limit to the number of times you can play in a given time period. Overall, I would say it’s a great game choice for someone who enjoys games like Yugioh or Hearthstone.

Pay to Win

Great designed game and competitive at lower levels, but as you climb the ranks it becomes more and more Pay-you-Win. The top tier is full of folks with disposable income to dump $$$ in the game with leveled-up ultra rare cards. When I see the 4th pink card in a row drop, I just forfeit.

I do enjoy this game and the potential it has. It would be nice to see a larger variety of characters, such as X-men, and other universes join the fight. I do agree with other comments about an easier way to power up the more common characters so that there are more varieties in pvp player decks. I did just update to version 2.17, but when I try to play, it says that there is a new update still, but there isn’t. Must be a slight bug?

Unfair with Special Ops and AI

Hi I really love this game, one thing that makes me mad about it is the AI we have to play against in Special Ops mode is quite unfair because you’re asking us to defeat the opponent in 8 turns but it’s impossible when they keep playing cards that either destroy your cards you already have on the board or blocking your attack cards. That’s what annoy me. Overall you would get 5 stars but you need to have the AI play fairly and not cheating. But let’s get to the point the graphics are nice, and the cards you get that you actually want is fair too it doesn’t seem rigged and I love the game it’s just the Special Ops that makes me angry but the game is awesome :) just fix the Special Ops Problem.

Good but not the best

I have played many marvel games all great but this one is super laggy and shuts down. whenever I make a huge battle line or for just no reason at all. Don’t get me wrong the game is great and has a good story just doesn’t keep your progress when it randomly kicks you out so be ready for that if you download it.

So much potential, but ruined by terrible PVP. Like always, they missed the mark by a mile. Update: the new challenges are so poorly designed. The new one, mysterio’s is literally impossible to win. The first card played summons another. It’s always played on a corner piece so it’s set up to win in two directions. You lose in one hit. Who came up with this crap??? Fire them. Now. They are worthless. Fix this game it could be so much better.
