General Premise:
Each digital task card has 10 numbers missing. Using reasoning, logic, and problem solving skills the user must identify the missing numbers using the 0-9 tiles given to the left of every problem. This encourages users to apply concept based, problem solving skills that instill true conceptual understanding. Users progress through 20 different digital task cards per set, “unlocking” problems as they go.
Features Include:
• 20 digital task cards, with a stepped progression in their difficulty, focused on addition and subtraction facts
• A pen and eraser tool that can be used to mark regrouping and to do scratch work.
• A “check” system that rewards careful placement of tiles and encourages the users to look over their work before submitting answers
I have always used Marcy Cook tile sets in my classroom and was excited to see the app offered. I think it's a great resource because it allows a student to work on math without the teacher having to check them all the time. I will DEFINITELY use this in my classroom. But.... I would like to see an app with all the tile collections per operation together. The pack app that's available has 4 mixed together- but as a grade level teacher I would rather have all the addition in an app, all the subtraction in another, etc. I would also love a reset option- so once the set it complete I could reset it for another student to unlock. I think an option to have multiple users would be great too! Have you thought about a website option?
I purchased the computation set tiles thinking it had all off these apps combined. Unfortunately, it was other way advanced tasks. This is much similar to the primary add/sub task cards we purchased from marcycook.com. This is great!
